Joining late. The battle of the 2 worst teams, points-wise, in the NHL. And the Sabres are already down 1 goal to the 2nd worst team in the league - the Tank is VERY strong tonight! Weber with a less than stellar penalty.

If one intends to be a running QB, one needs to be smart about it, like Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick. And Manuel hasn't shown much of that. I recall the time he was injured and out for a considerable time - he was doing his best Emmitt Smith impersonation - he'd already gotten the 1st down, but was going for broke. Yeah, broke alright. But given his proclivity towards running (53 rushing attempts in 10 games played) , and not being particularly smart or choosy about so doing, yeah, there is a need to draft another QB. There are a lot of wishful thinkers in Bills Land. There are probably still people floating around at this forum and elsewhere who think JP Losman should have been given more time on the team. Or Ryan Fitzpatrick, or Trent Edwards.... ad nauseum/infinitum. Now the newest nexus for many fans' hopes and dreams is EJ Manuel. Maybe he'll suddenly turn it around and develop into a superstar, however, I really, really doubt it. He was a poor choice. I think anyone who thinks this team is going ANY-where while Ralph Wilson Jr is the owner, is just kidding themselves anyways. It's been a disaster from Poulian's dismissal to the present. Playoffs? ESPN has updated their standings - I noticed that now there's a big "e" next to Buffalo's name in the standings for ELIMINATED. Took em a few days to add it - maybe they couldn't believe that the Sabres were eliminated by St. Patrick's Day? That takes some doing with Wildcard playoffs to get eliminated a month before the season ends. Battista is the convenient Deux Ex Machina for which we can blame anything bad, or we don't like, about the Sabres. It's probably the reason T-Pegs created the position and hired him for it.

LOL - most teams make that many shots in one period against the Sabres.

BTW, in this now 7 game losing streak, the Sabres have scored only 5 goals total, for an average of 0.7 goals per game. That's pretty squalid right there.

Playing the Buffalo Sabres presents a great opportunity for teams to rest their starting goalie. :)
