  1. It was still time for a change - but The Weasel threw Lindy under the bus, while trying (and succeeding for almost a year) to distract T-Pegs from the obvious fact that the Weasel himself was the biggest problem plaguing the Sabres.
  2. ^^^^LOL!!!!!
  3. Not winning, when we had the best chance of winning. Even an epic bad season couldn't get the team get the #1 pick. Buffalo = cursed. Tim Murray said in his press conference regarding the lottery that he wanted "to win something!" Sorry, Tim....this is just not the town to do that in.
  4. Ahhh, so the Curse of Buffalo continues on, unabated. We can't even blame it on a goat ala Chicago either.
  5. Thanks - I miswrote that - I should have written - our chance of success is lower than 25%.
  6. You'd think so, but.... check out the Observer Effect in Quantum Physics, particularly the Quantum Zeno Effect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observer_effect_(physics) Perhaps for us - it's the Quantum Leino Effect?
  7. Even more likely given the stats that Kishoph posted in the "Leino Must Go" topic. He wrote that in the 19 years of the lottery, the number 1 pick has won 6 out of 19 times, or 31.6%. That's quite a bit higher than the 25% that should result So our probability of losing is higher than 1 out of 4, because the distribution will trend back to 25%.
  8. You beat me to it! 6 out of 19 = 31.6%. I would say that the Sabres' chances now are actually worse than 1 in 4 because over time the percentages will even out. We need a Mr. Spock to calculate the precise odds. "Captain, I would estimate the Buffalo Sabres' odds of winning the number one pick in the upcoming lottery as approximately 1 in 8.752. Of course, that's only an approximation." Kirk would reply - "Only an approximation. Well, that's just ducky!"
  9. 1 in 4 odds for a Buffalo team is almost a certain loss, given Buffalo teams' star crossed histories. Is it true the worst we can pick is 2nd then if we lose 1st? I thought I read somewhere the most anyone can drop is one place.
  10. It was nice to see the Sabres actually reacting and fighting back. I think Scott's presence got 'em motivated.
  11. Not me - I wanted that chance at the $1000.
  12. That was too funny! I was actually worried Leino was gonna score in that flurry of play in the 3rd period yesterday, and spoil his perfect record
  13. Yeah, I would be astonished if they get the first pick in the lottery - 1 in 4 odds is an almost guaranteed loss for any team from Buffalo. Bettman is a lawyer by profession too. Being a lawyer doesn't automatically make one a weasel, but it definitely improves the odds of such. And here's an interesting read - this website's picks for the biggest draft busts of all time. I hope the Sabres don't end up with the ice-hockey equivalent of an Aaron Maybin. http://proicehockey....Draft-Busts.htm
  14. You think Crapahan has it rigged? I don't know who I dislike more - Shanahan, or his wimpy boss, Bettman.
  15. Ryan Miller's stats in the last 5 games of the season are decidedly unimpressive - a 3.6 GAA, and a SVG% of only 0.856 He's been on a slide since shutting out Philly. I hope he can play well enough in the post-season to help us get the draft pick. I wonder if he's playing hurt?
  16. Ahhh well, at least the Yankees have a 6-2 lead on the Roid-Sox in the 7th.
  17. John Scott tossed for being John Scott again - lol
  18. haha, looks like the Sabres got a little cheap shot in on big-beaked Marchand, and then he was crying about it to the officials. I hate that little prick with a passion!
  19. They WILL win clinch the President's Trophy if they win today. League making sure they win too with this crooked officiating. Makes me angry, that's for sure!
  20. All that money for being a weaselly little scumbag! This is how I'd like to meet him!
  21. Somebody needs to blast the NHL with e-mails over this lop-sided officiating. Bunch of BS. I'd like to personally slap Bettman until he cries "No Mas!".
  22. I hope it's not as bad as it looks - looked very bad in replay.
  23. I don't really blame Boston for this - just a terrible accident.
