  1. I was very pleased with the Sabres' play last night. We're no longer a smallish soft finesse team - we got some big guys who don't/won't back down now; 28, 51 and 55 are only going to get better and better. Once we add some solid 1st line offense and good shooters, this team will improve markedly.
  2. huh? http://www.urbandict...rm=you mad bro? "the automatic response to a person who has just raged or ragequitted. to make a raging person rage even more by asking the most ironic question." And T-Peg could reply.....
  3. Panthers Brass should tweet T-Peg with this and similar;
  4. That's ok - I can accept that. I have trouble with Milbury's name too..... I keep pronouncing it as "A$$hole" instead.
  5. Awesome game, and awesome performance by Jhonas with the shut-out! Better than that over-rated Miller would have done. 'Twas a genuine shut-out, not a Miller Shut-Out.
  6. Yup. I had a "Truly Tasteless Jokes" book by Blanche Knott back in the 80s, and there was a chapter of "Space Shuttle Jokes". I knew at least 8 or 9 of them by heart. Ahh well, to each his own. And I think Pegula getting all butt-hurt is ludicrous. My gosh, we can't make ANY weather jokes at all then, or humorously compare weather in one city to another, because someone died or may die as a result of the type of weather phenomena included in the joke? Dumb.
  7. I don't understand why Terry Pegula wasn't on the phone today at 8:01 AM to Roger Goodell's office - to review a detailed list of all those bad calls, and explain to Goodell very clearly that either he gets this incompetent or corrupt officiating fixed, or Goodell will be looking for a new employer. Or if Pegula didn't want to dirty his hands with it, assign the job of verbally dressing-down Goodell to Battista.
  8. If Pegula learned anything from his Sabres experience, he'll clean house when the season ends and get rid of Brandon Whaley Marrone Hackett A good purge is needed, in the style of Ancient Rome when a new Emperor took power. I have long harbored the suspicion the NFL deliberately tries to orchestrate certain post-season match ups for the benefit of ratings. This was one of the worst-called games I have ever had the 'privilege' to see.
  9. Someone posted this at the Bills forum as a salvo in the new "Weather Wars".....
  10. Nikita is going to be a BEAST with a couple more years of maturing and a few more pounds of muscle. He's already damn impressive when things get physical. That's the most fun I've ever had watching a loss.
  11. I was hating the game tonight - boring and lopsided - until the 3rd period. While the Sabres didn't do anything offensively, the fighting was awesome! I was just hoping Hodgson would be forced into a scrum - he always tries to retire to paths less traveled when there's trouble - LOL
  12. Tank looked healthy again tonight, at least in the 2nd period.
  13. I was on vacation last week - but scanned thru the recordings of the Montreal and Tampa games. It doesn't even look like the same team we saw in October and early November. Something really gelled with this team after that trouncing the Sabres gave the Leafs at home a couple Saturdays back. They're aggressive, they're physical, they're skating hard, and playing a full 3 periods (it's a cliche, but true). Even passing - which the Sabres have been deplorable at - looks greatly improved. Great to see.... but...... don't we need to get back on track with the Tank?
  14. I think the most realistic hope for the Bills is they actually finish with a .500 record. How long has it been since the Bills haven't had a sub .500 season record? 3 of their 4 remaining games are the toughest teams in the league, and it's December, when tough teams get tougher; Denver, Green Bay, and New England. I would almost bank the Oakland game as a "W" at this point - after all, the RAMS beat them 52-0 last weekend. But I can't see the Bills beating the Big Three in December, especially with two of the games on the road.
  15. With this unlikely win over 1st place Tampa, the Sabres are now ahead of Carolina, Philadelphia, Edmonton, and Columbus in points. I'm losing faith in GMTM's Tank...... they're gonna have to lose, and lose a lot, to get back to the basement.
  16. I assume there's no connection too, but it's a wonderful coincidence though; if it helps RJ feel good, then all the better!.
  17. Amazing. I'm only 50 miles from Buffalo - and we received virtually no snow over the last two days - just the slightest dusting. From the photos of the wall cloud in Buffalo - it looks like one could walk 1000 ft from bare ground and be in 2 ft of snow on the ground.
  18. RJ returns and the team posts their first back to back wins......and home wins too!
  19. Don't forget - it took well over a year for Pegula to get rid of Regier and Ruff. I'm expecting similar lethargy when it comes to his handling of the Bills.
  20. I don't know what's better - the highlight reel quality stuff on the ice in the videos above, or RJ's playcalls that compliment it! He is the BEST!!!!!
  21. haha - your General Tank Commander GMTM avatar is full of win! The Leafs fans tossing shirts and scarves onto the ice made this game even more enjoyable. What a bunch of fair-weather cry-baby fans.
  22. Awesome !!! The Sabres played hard for RJ's return - couldn't be scripted better!!!!
  23. Awesome game so far! The Sabres are playing above their pay grade tonight. The Tank can take a break tonight - whipping the Maple Leafs is always good.
  24. HOLY CROW ANOTHER GOAL!!!!! This is our Christmas present tonight for Sabres fans!!! 2 goals in an RJ called period!!!
  25. YES!!!! Buffalo scores while RJ is commentating!! woo-hoo!!!!
