  1. Tank Commander 3 - Benoit - a pimple on the ass of progress. LOL
  2. The Mess sucks. Gorges is in a league by himself ; -24 for the season in 37 games played for the Sabres. Tank Commander 1 and Tank Commander 2. But this is a great collapse to aid the Tank. Just what we wanted!
  3. I love it when classic original quotes are paraphrased in clever fashion. :) Another poster called him "The Mess". I think that's perfect.
  4. Yeah, when I saw Hodgson play in Detroit during Christmas week, he was terrible. He'd float and keep himself mostly invisible. He'd give the puck up almost as soon as he got it, either by passing it to another Sabre, or the Red Wings taking it from him as easily as taking candy from a baby. He looks like he really doesn't care either.
  5. Brutal stats. A shot differential of -19 for this disgraceful performance. The Mess and Gorges both -3! Ugh! Didn't watch it - I've got it recorded. However, Nikita was 0 in +/- only he and Ennis weren't negative, and Zadorov had 22 minutes of ice time too! No penalty minutes either, and 3 hits. Sounds like he played decently (thinking of the future only now).
  6. 44 games played. 2 goals. 4 assists. 6 pts. And is minus 20. What else needs be said?
  7. Cntry Blmpkn is a little easier to interpret - LOL The "Softee" part I understood - Hoghead = soft. But Mc Quinoa? That's over my head. LOL
  8. Softee McQuinoa?
  9. Haha - it's the equivalent of the MLB's Mendoza-line. LOL
  10. We need to get to last place faster. Can Buffalo forfeit a few games? it's amazing that Edmonton still has fewer points. Look at the stats -1.66 goal differential per game vs -1.09 for Edmonton - we are giving up an extra 1/2 goal per game on average compared to Edmonton -12 shot differential vs -2.3 for Edmonton. We're averaging almost a -10 shots per goal more than Edmonton SVG % - the only stat that favors Edmonton - but just slightly. They're last in the league at 0.889 SVG%, whereas we're 22nd with .904. But that's only slightly better average goal tending than Edmonton. We blow them out of the water in goal differential and shot differential. We ought to be 6-8 points below them!!! Edmonton's GM - that one is a sorcerer, I tell you!
  11. I was at the gym - I did an hour on the bike and got to watch it on the bike's monitor. Not as awful as some games - shot differential was ONLY a -4. Guess that was a good effort for Hasek night for this bunch. I was looking at the stats and saw that Nolan mercifully limited Hodgson to 10 minutes of ice time. Probably why the shot differential was better. Even then, Hodgson managed to end up -1, and have no SOG. Why is he out there again? Oh yeah, to pass the puck to someone else as quickly as he possibly can. What a slug!
  12. They should have waited until there was a half-way decent team on the ice before having Hasek Day. But it is what it is.
  13. But.... Terry Pegula does. Might be coincidence - but it also might be intentional on T-Peg's part.
  14. Jerry's party bus parties must not have influenced the officials at Lambeau too much yesterday. Unlike the horribly officiated Lions game, this one was called pretty evenly and fairly. Glad to see the Cowgirls OUT! The chutzpah and self-love of calling themselves "America's Team" is just insufferable. In actuality, I've seen articles that no team is more hated nationwide than the Cowboys.
  15. IF and when the Sabres make the playoffs, we should try to make a Sabrespace get-together happen!
  16. I wondered what was going on. Pages would just lock up loading with a "server too busy" error or similar. Did the origin point of the DOS attack ever get pinpointed?
  17. Boy, that sucks. Clots like that are no joke. Prayers for his full recovery.
  18. That was one of the worst calls of the year. And there were plenty of favorable Dallas calls on the ensuing drive that gave Dallas the lead too. I didn't feel sorry for them losing today at all. Even a hurt Aaron Rodgers >>> Romo. Rodgers' play in the 2nd half was superlative. I'm thinking the same thing - he turns 39 in March, and his play now clearly deteriorates towards the end of the season. It's called 'age'. It will likely only be worse next year if he does decide to soldier on.
  19. I'm not sure I'm on it now. At all. The only Jets coach in recent memory that I'd like even less as HC of the Bills is Rich Kotite. My current opinion of Ryan is that he is a foul-mouthed idiot, an idiot who provided a lot of embarrassing off the field moments for the Jets in his tenure. I don't remember if it was Physics or PhD, but one of those gentlemen mentioned in reply to one of my posts a couple weeks back is that the best option for the Bills was to find the next great coach - like a Harbaugh before he made a name as HC, or a Belichick, or a Parsells. Find the NEW talent, who will emerge as a great HC. Instead of this, the Bills instead went for a long term deal (5 years) with a nationally known commodity. For some reason I see Brandon's hand in that thought process. An 'unknown' with potential to be the next big-name coach doesn't generate marketing 'buzz'. Or maybe I'm just too cynical and suspicious of Brandon. It might instead just be the inevitable outcome of 'Designed by Committee'. Hey, if Ryan takes the Bills to 10-6 or 11-5 next season, I'll be the first to recant.
  20. Well, we're past the half-way point of the season. IF you think of the Tank as a 3 year ordeal, then we're 5/6th of the way home. It's downhill from here.... we as fans can 'coast' across the finish line of the completed Tank. Next season - 2015-16 ala the Chicago Blackhawks first season post-tanking, we should expect significant improvement, albeit no playoffs. 2016-17 should see us making a run for the playoffs.
  21. Just got the text from WGR550 - that old foot-fondler, Rex Ryan, named as Bills HC. I've got a bad feeling about this. Especially the specter of the Dirty Sanchez as QB.
  22. If tanking is the goal, then call-ups capable of improving the offense aren't desirable.
  23. Now we've closed to within 2 points of Edmonton, and 1 point of Carolina. And Edmonton has played 1 fewer games this season, and Carolina 2 games fewer. Another loss, and one win each by Carolina and Edmonton, we'll be back in the cellar where we belong.
  24. In the post game, Brian Duff and Brad May were talking about how the Sabres played better. Really? The Sabres were a MINUS 26 in shot differential. That is just mind-bogglingly bad. The puck spent most of the game in Buffalo's zone. The only Sabre who was playing "better" was Neuvirth - he played a career game last night. 45 saves! Neuvirth's glove save in the 2nd period when both the goal light and the horn sounded - that may be the best glove save I've ever seen. An average performance by an average goalie last night - and Tampa wins 6-1, or 7-1. But to suggest the team was somehow 'playing better' - RIDICULOUS and not supported by the numbers.
