Seems like far too often, if a goal is scored against the Sabres, Leopold or Myers or both are on the ice. Rolston has to be stupid to put BOTH of them on the ice during the PK. Why the hell didn't he leave Kaleta in there longer? PK is one of Patty's big strengths.

Ok, that was stupid.... Kaleta was only out there for about 30 seconds of that PK.... Myers the rest - and guess who was standing motionless to the right of Miller when the goal was scored? Yep - Chief Woodenlegs, our resident cigar-store indian.

It did look like bad D on the last goal.... Sabres just couldn't get it out of the zone and they paid the price. Toronto announcer called Myers "the elongated defenseman" - lmao

It's good news to see Jhonas back in top form - his good work in his last couple appearances prior to this game appear were not flukes. Other pluses - Otter Foligno kicking some Hab arse! Great fight too because it didn't hurt the Sabres - they didn't go shorthanded as a result. The Ott/Hodgson line was a good one - unfortunately Vanek's injury in the game resulted in Ott being paired up with Ennis again... seemed like Vanek's loss early in the 2nd, and the changing of the lines that resulted, really took the wind out of the Sabres sails on the offensive side. 10 shots on goal in the first period - only EIGHT total in Periods 2 and 3 combined.

Yeah, we were very lucky - we were outshot by a goodly amount - it's sort of like that Islanders game earlier in the season - we didn't deserve to win it but we won it.

That was a great win - glad that Jhonas' terrific goal-tending didn't go to waste.
