  1. Maybe next time you should construct your team as to not rely on a defense on Monday night. I'll be happy to offer fantasy football lessons for a reasonable price.
  2. Players always say that. Though to be fair, if a reporter got wind he was sore and sought a medical check, I can see how that'd get blown out of proportion pretty easily.
  3. Was there a stat correction or something? I could've sworn I had 124. No matter, pretty sure you'd win anyway.
  4. So if the Rams defense gets 8 points, my trash talk against WildCard will come to a screeching halt. Unfortunately for me, against the 49ers,I think it's more likely they get 80 than under 8.
  5. No joke: I was literally in the middle of doing this. Then the Watkins news broke, and I deleted it all and ranted
  6. We have enough pot smokers on the team to help with that. *ducks*
  7. Oh, me sideways with a rusty spoon. Abandon ship! Edit: if he's out because he re-injured his surgically repaired foot, somebody has to be fired. Everywhere I read said the biggest problem with that injury is potential for re-injury if the player comes back too soon...that the team itself would have to pump the brakes because players always want to come back too soon. And there we were in training camp, Sammy coming back sooner than anyone expected. For sake man :wallbash: Edit #2: this is in addition to rushing McCoy back last year, when everyone who has ever watched football knew that hamstring injuries linger and re-injure if not fully healed. Lo and behold, he got hurt again and had to miss time. These are the types of stupid decisions that get made when decision makers are under pressure to break a playoff drought of other people's making. Whenever a change happens, I hope the leadership team has the stones to tell the fans to be patient and deal with another year or two of missing the playoffs if that's what's necessary to build it right. And I hope the fans have the wherewithal to not hold that group accountable for the past 16+ years.
  8. Not sure how I missed that, but I did. The more ya know... :bag: Totally agree on your second point, btw.
  9. Got arrested for DUI in the run-up to the draft. And nobody will remember because they won.
  10. I didn't think it was possible, but somehow, the postgame hysterics are worse than the game itself.
  11. I'll take that bet.
  12. Cyrus whiffed on one block big time, didn't see any other singular disasters. And I'm definitely not thrilled with the receiving corps, it's a problem. Though I think it's a manageable problem...unless they routinely need to have extra blockers in to protect a weak line. Really wish we'd have added someone to push Woods for the #2 role.
  13. If (and I mean if) Dak ends up being good, he's a nice example of why teams shouldn't shy away from players with questionable character. I'm mostly serious, but a small part of me is gratuitously baiting Freeman here :p
  14. I've found that effort is negatively correlated with great things emerging from constipation.
  15. Nah. I think at the root of everything is we've all been spoiled by watching two of the three best QBs ever (Brady and Manning) consistently compensate for dogshit supporting casts. Even modern great QBs can't do that. As Hoss mentioned, Brees, Ryan, the other Manning...they miss the playoffs all the time. When I say Tyrod needs a functional supporting cast, I mean I think he can be genuinely good in such circumstances, not just scrape by. If 10 is HoF, I think Tyrod is 7 with the right support and 4-5 without it. An average QB is 5-6 with the right support and 3-4 without it. Hope that clarifies.
  16. I'm not sure we're so far apart here in analysis, just expectations. I like Tyrod a lot, and I think we can be a playoff team with him...but he's not the QB who is going to completely cover up shortcomings elsewhere. He needs a functional unit around him, and didn't get that today. He can absolutely save broken plays, but if the OL is under siege all day, it'll be a struggle. So yea, he was bad today...but it's precisely what I'd expect out of him given the circumstances.
  17. I dunno. I didn't notice much of a drop-off from Glenn to Kouandjio (which isn't to say there won't be when teams can game plan the difference). I'll still be sad if we let Gilmore walk because we valued Glenn more highly (and I say this initially being pleased with the Glenn deal). Shush you.
  18. I can't say I agree. Tyrod isn't Brady or Manning, he doesn't make light speed reads, he needs time in the pocket. I don't think he's capable of being good when the line is a tire fire. I guess that still falls under the umbrella of bad, but it's very much the expectation. Anyway, at least the Jets lost. But I do think their DL is going to eat our offense alive on Thursday.
  19. Heavier dammit. HEAVIER!
  20. What in the hell game have you been watching?
  21. They've gone with header blocking schemes to adjust. It's not working, but to say nothing has been done would be inaccurate. Who missed that tackle in the backfield? Didn't catch it.
  22. I'm just talking about the defense man. He has plenty of warts as a head coach
  23. I'm going to use this comment to launch my "I told you Rex wasn't the problem" tour. You're all invited to my weekly tour stops! :D
  24. Would anyone really care if special teams were completely eliminated?
  25. Has Flacco even targeted Gilmore's man since that early catch? Total blanket. Hope we keep him.
