Yea, nobody's perfect :p

Kristen Soltis Anderson is my politics crush. The smarts, looks, and nerdiness is more than enough to overcome the conservatism :D

I'm reminded of Peggy Noonan circa 2012 predicting Romney was going to win because his voters were more enthusiastic. Her measure? An anecdotal observation of yard signs.

They were together for like five games. I'm just quite skeptical Kane dramatically changed his game when the only evidence we have is a really short stretch. And the stats still say Girgensons was better with Jack than when Kane was with Eichel and Reinhart. That said, I won't be at all surprised if Bylsma's lines shake out that way. You're more convinced than I am that Moulson is in the team and/or a lineup regular. Bylsma already showed last year he's not afraid to leave him with 5 minutes per game. On COR, I think you're right, and that's a big part of the reason I'm dismayed by the lack of another forward acquisition. It's like Murray has gone full Darcy with the depth.

Calling it fake outrage makes it seem like you're more interested in calling people hypocrites than in getting a real answer. Anyway, most people pay more attention to national stories and politics than local. Simple as that.

Most fantasy football lineup mistakes happen from over thinking it. Cam is better than Carr in real and fantasy football. Start Cam. Other thing with Carr is, he had a hot ~6 weeks last year, but has been mostly average outside of that.

I had no idea we had a player named Titanic. Is he still alive? He should have been brought in to coach the tank.

The bolded things make me want to say far worse things to you than comparing Hockey Canada to the Patriots

Hank, I wanted to take advantage of you, I was just emotionally scarred after you took me out back last week! Really though, I'm happy with my starters at those positions.

Sabres "Fantasy Gambling" Contest

I'm in, and I'm gonna win. -
I second this. Play your studs. Unless you're Hank, then you trade your studs.

If it helps, I don't think you're a bunch of sleezy liars and cheaters :p

I've called it "the arena" since it opened and I don't foresee that changing to accommodate Key Bank.

Yup. Hockey Canada is the hockey version of the Patriots for me.

My optimism is tempered by three things: 1) The blue line. 2) The coach. 3) Depth. I know you can say this for a lot of teams, but one injury to the top-6 or top-4 and things get ugly quick, to say nothing of what happens if Lehner goes down. I want to say solid playoff team, and that's certainly in the cards if some things break the right way...but bubble team just seems like the most likely outcome.

It'd be a very Bills thing to do.

Last year :)

The Broncos may have a crappy QB...but they did last year too, and the defense is just as good again. They aren't gonna be an easy out.

I honestly don't know how anyone can point to Brady as the GOAT (especially if they use rings as part of their criteria) when every other QB who plays also wins a bunch of games. Meanwhile, the Colts go 2-14 the one year Manning missed. It's really not close for me.
-
I 100% understand thinking we should have hired a HC who would have kept him on as DC. But as 11 has said, he's a crappy head coach.

The economy is a mixed bag, the second yes, and the third no. So, close election.

My Twitter feed while I was pooping. You're all welcome :p

Was Luke Adam's career so forgettable that you've forgotten its destruction?

Reading these Dean Lombardi quotes is killing me. Saying there was too much focus on Canada, that trying to match skill wasn't going to work so the went for something else that made them worse against every other team. Here's the thing: leaving some of the best players at home also made them worse against Canada. You're already overmatched against Canada, and willingly making your team less skilled only makes this worse. Any gain you get from grit (which, empirically, is zero) is completely outweighed by the increase in the skill gap. When in the hell are these hockey dinosaurs going to understand this? Even in defeat, even in embarrassment, there's still no break with the dinosaur mentality.

Some early media session snippets: -Lehner looks...skinny. Like a normal goaltender rather than a tight end. -Lehner is fully cleared medically. -Samson and Eichel are living together. -Samson said Jack is going to have to learn to cook and do his own laundry. -Samson once again spent the summer on power skating work.
