  1. I plan on picking it up hopefully this week. Heard nothing but good things thus far.
  2. I get that the impetus for this response is...not impartial (to put it mildly). However, the issue isn't what the FBI is currently investigating or even whether she deserves to be indicted...it's that a president would order the FBI/DOJ to prosecute a case. That's not how any of this is supposed to work. In fact, take a look at the impeachment papers that were being drawn up for Nixon--there's almost this exact scenario as one of them. This is the exact type of thing that leads fledgling democracies to descend into authoritarian regimes. Of course, we're not a fledgling democracy...but democracy itself is more fragile than people like to think since we've never known anything other than stability (personally anyway). Political scientists who specialize in international relations and comparative politics are absolutely beside themselves that a major party nominee for president would not only "go there"...but be cheered for it.
  3. Only 11 in the 4-way and NBC/WSJ polls have been more favorable to Clinton than the field...but still, she effectively doubled her lead in that poll relative to before the sexual assault tape. Even if we handicap the poll accordingly, still has her up 7-8 with less than a month to go. Trump is done...and the GOP knows it, seeing as Paul Ryan officially decided to throw his resources into retaining control of the House. Polling is fine. 1) Cell phones are called in addition to land lines and 2) response rates have always been a problem, but it's a workable one. Online polls, on the other hand, have a much more questionable track record. And any poll that allows respondents to self-select in should be discarded entirely. You should read the article I linked upthread--sometimes it takes something as explicit and undeniable as the sexual assault tape to break the cycle of motivated reasoning.
  4. Yea, I actually don't think Pulkkinen makes it to 2, let alone 8. Practice? Extra brutal to have it happen that way.
  5. We should absolutely claim Parenteau.
  6. Good, I think. Sure the fluke is always possible, but he has that 6th sense for avoiding major hits. Edit: Okposo and O'Reilly are both at 58.5. Like the over for Okposo, but O'Reilly that's too tight for my liking.
  7. Bovada's over/under for Jack's point total is 63.5. If anyone wants some easy money...
  8. I don't think you could get Stoner for Kane, let alone Fowler.
  9. Anyone who can tolerate the taste of kale deserves its benefits. Vile weed!
  10. I'm just going to assume he's juicing. Why not? They've cheated every other way.
  11. I think he's quite a bit better than Darby, and the league agrees. There's a reason Darby gets targeted more.
  12. Anybody who thought trading two 1sts for a WR when you have no QB is dumb is forbidden from being in favor of backing up the brinks truck for a UFA WR. Forbidden, I say! He'd be a great addition...don't see how it works money-wise. I also don't think he hits the market.
  13. You know a debate is bad when it induces a stronger urge to drink than the Bills game.
  14. I'm not sure I care about your sleep. No, I'm sure...I don't care :nana:
  15. Not every team knew--there were conflicting opinions on whether surgery would be needed before the season. The guy played for two years in college on the injury, I'm not sure we should crucify Whaley over thinking he could play...besides, if medical cleared him, blame them not him.
  16. I believe the average NFL career is 3 years, and the "hit rate" for 1st round picks is 50%. And he's only had two 1st round picks I can think of: Watkins (if you want to count him as two, whatever) and Lawson. EJ was Nix.
  17. And it hasn't.
  18. If nothing else, this should dispel any delusions about Trump dropping out. He'll go full scorched Earth before quitting.
  19. $5.5 is the right price. If a bridge deal happens and $5.5 was on the table, that's on Risto.
  20. Me too, but I don't know why. Scheme change, simplification, or are they just playing better? Shoulder shrug emoji.
  21. I don't know why, but the run game has been incredibly improved since the OC change. Tyrod looks the same, but I'm starting to think Rex may have had a real reason to make the change beyond self preservation.
  22. Doug Whaley deserves credit. I doubt a certain moderater will give it to him.
  23. Yup. Plenty of middle of the pack QBs can't make that throw. His average may not look the same as the average of other passers...but still average. And no, you don't pay an average QB $18 million per.
  24. Taylor: still better than Hoss thinks. Still average.
  25. So Fisher is willing to fake a punt inside his own 30, but won't go for a first down inside the Bills' 30. How he has a job...
