  1. I will say one thing - I don't think Mittelstadt should be a lock, even though I think he is.
  2. Montreal Canadians Record last season: 29-40-13, 71 points, 6th in the Atlantic Playoffs: None Coach: Claude Julien GM: Marc Bergevin Captain: Shea Weber GF: 207 (29th) GA: 258 (25th) PP: 21.2% (12th) PK: 74.1% (30th) Top 5G: 1.) Brendan Gallagher (31) 2.) Paul Byron (20) 3.) Alex Galchenyuk (19) 4.) Max Pacioretty (17) 5.) Jonathan Drouin (13) Top 5A: 1.) Jonathan Drouin (33) 2.)Alex Galchenyuk (32) 3.) Jeff Petry (30) 4.) Brendan Gallagher (23) 5.) Max Pacioretty (20) Top 5 PTS: 1.) Brendan Gallagher (54) 2.) Alex Galchenyuk (51) 3.) Jonathan Drouin (46) 4.) Jeff Petry (42) 5.) Max Pacioretty (37) Key Additions: Max Domi (LW), Joel Armia (RW), Tomas Plekanec (C), Matthew Peca (RW), Xavier Ouellet (D) Key Losses: Alex Galchenyuk (C), Ales Hemsky (RW), Daniel Carr (LW), Logan Shaw (RW), Adam Cracknell (RW) Projected Lineup: Domi - Drouin - Armia Tatar - Danault - Gallagher Byron - Peca - Lehkonen Hudon - Plekanec - Scherbak Mete - Petry Alzner - Juulsen Rielly - Benn Price Niemi Top Prospects we might/might not see 1.) Jesperi Kotkaniemi, C, 1st round 2018 2.) Ryan Poehling, C, 1st round 2017 3.) Nikita Scherbak, RW, 1st round 2014 4.) Noah Juulsen, D, 1st round 2015 5.) Jesse Ylonen, RW, 2nd round 2018 My thoughts Weber is out for quite a while as far as I can tell, and Price has a long climb back to be on top again. If Shea comes back at some point and shows signs of how long he was out, and Price can't do that, then this team competes with Ottawa for worst in the league. If Price regains form, Weber is back early enough in the season and resembles his old self, and Mete continues to grow, then they might be able to keep goals against down enough to not be in that competition, though I cannot realistically see them competing for a wild card spot with the current roster.
  3. Can't complain. Nobody had a bad game.
  4. Imagine Risto getting a load off his shoulders and playing like this for more than just exactly 41 games when he hits is "I'm not Ryan Suter" wall
  5. I noticed that in an earlier picture in the media. He was taking extra shots after practice like he was getting used to a new stick and looking closely at the stick showed it was a Warrior.
  6. Hutton looked solid in his minutes.
  7. It's not just a meme that "of course" we would lose this game - this is the exact type of preseason game we lose literally every year.
  8. His shoulders would be good for a different line, but just like last season, he doesn't continue enough plays - too many are over once they hit his stick. He should be in Pommers' spot with Casey once the season starts IMO.
  9. I've really liked how steady Pilut is. I thought he was going to be a lot more lost.
  10. Never. And assuming things don't change, Okie isn't gonna work on line 1/PP1. drop him down a spot in each case.
  11. Risto playing like he hasn't faced top lines for 55 minutes per game for the last 3 months Gorgeous little play from Dahlin to get us out of the zone.
  12. Nice play from ERod! It's nice to see successful cycles.
  13. That was a good shift from those guys.
  14. Risto is never not going to do 5 of those clears per game and it's never not going to drive me crazy
  15. CJ had a nice little move to spring that 3 on 2, and then a great pass to Sobotka in space.
  16. Jack's never been one to put the extra effort in when a game doesn't matter, that's for sure. He dogs it more than others do. With his preseason history, I am actually grateful. But I'm not going to get on fans who are bugged by it when everyone else is busting their bums
  17. I bet you'd like this (also in case you didn't see bc I didn't quote you Pilut is 24)
  18. Yay team! WC, Pilut is 24.
  19. The first PP unit is going to need Reinhart back and also time to gel. And probably Kyle off of it with this performance ?
  20. Pilut with some nice work.
  21. Lol Pens fans must haaaaaaate Ristolainen.
  22. Dahlin walking that line
  23. Hutton's pads are freaking sharp. Like, some of my favorite pads I've ever seen. For some reason. Mitts looks like a more solid hockey player against pros than he does against prospects.
  24. I respect you more for not having awareness of things that are only talked about today in the context of peddling nonsense
