If Skinner gets to 500 goals and gets in the HOF, you can not deny his consistence of being very very good to better than very very good and that is why I think he will get in. The consistency has to count for something. Different sport I know but look at Don Mattingly, he dominated for years but ultimately didnt have the consistency to get to the HOF.

I like Power, he is very crafty and smooth with the puck but violent and tough to play against he isn't. The next time he throws a body check will be the first, he needs a bit of grit and use his size, like Samuelsson, some body checks are needed to round out his game.

Just looking at stats and curious at how many past Sabres have. Eichel has 59gm / 26g / 29a/ 55pt Reinhart has 72gm /27g /27a /54pt That would currently be good for 5th and 6th in goals, 7th and 8th in assists, and 6th and 7th in points this season on the current Sabres. Not missing those guys one bit, were they holding the current group back? Their stats might suggest 2nd or 3rd liners on this team, that were playing 1st line minutes, hmmm...... lol.

My only question about this is how do we know Adams hasn't tried to bring in all sorts of talent, FAs and that talent said no because of Buffalos current loser reputation. Trades are different, but NMCs.

I dont care how skilled they are if they play this soft year after year they will never get to the playoffs. If by chance they sneak into the playoffs they would get destroyed in the first round. Dont need knuckle dragging fighters just some guys who will throw a check, take the body sometimes, not peel off an opponent on the boards, and stand their ground and push back when someone tries to bully them. Until they do that they arent going anywhere.
