“Watching Zach (Benson), most nights he was as good if not better then Matty (Savoie)” -Lukas Suter, Sabres Western Scout from the 2023 NHL Draft Embedded Video. Savoie Value to the team started to decreased the second Benson was drafted -

Sabres Draft #14: Konsta Helenius, 5'11" 189lb Center

That’s a beautiful area, great restaurants How they revamped Riverside Drive was very smart. This is the first summer in 17 years that I am not vacationing up there. I’m going through withdrawal already -
I think Friedman was adding this in addition to this

Not that this makes one bit of difference in the grand scheme of things, but Florida is actually on the hook for the bonus. (Hell I wouldn’t mind a 50 million dollar cap overage in exchange for a Cup) It’s listed under the Panthers for next season as a 500k carry over bonus on Cap Friendly

What part of the St Lawrence are you located? -
Carolina is very interesting. They have 21 signed players on their roster right and have 4 RFA with 11.8 million in cap space. Those four RFAs are Seth Jarvis, Martin Necas, Jack Drury and Dylan Coughlan. Including those 4 players they have 7 players who can play Center. Jack Drury would be a trade target for 3C

He looked good today in the 3v3, strong on the forecheck

They would only have 1.3 million in space with Lehner on LTIR. That’s until Mark Stone goes on LTIR two weeks before the TDL. (They will use that space to acquire Crosby) Washington is another team I would look at He really fell off last year. This doesn’t help Pegula’s Reputation around the league especially with players. The NHLPA was quite pissed about it, yes the Sabres had complete control due to the CBA, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the PA seeks to change that for the next CBA. The irony is the Sabres Medical Staff had supposedly recommended that Eichel shut it down long before the Islanders Game where he sustained the neck injury. Eichel thanked Adams for His Professionalism during the the whole process, nothing about Pegula. ( For reference Eichel and the Pegulas would have a monthly dinner during the season) I rotated with a NHL Team Doc. It’s important to remember they are on the teams medical staff. Had Eichel not asked for a trade prior to the injury and wanted to remain a Sabre, do you really believe Pegula would have stopped Him from getting the ADR he wanted? With the caveat the source is questionable there is a rumor circulating that The Jets wanted Tuch and a pick in exchange for Ehlers and Iafallo.
