  1. This one still hurts
  2. Let’s see, it’s been reported all over the hockey media that Ehlers doesn’t want to sign an extension with Winnipeg and that Necas wants out of Carolina. If either is moved, that team will be looking for a replacement with all the top UFAs signed and a limited trade market. Carolina would have strong shot that Ehlers agrees to an extension and Winnipeg would have team control over Necas. So yeah, a trade involving Carolina and Winnipeg with Necas and Ehlers makes a lot of sense
  3. I’m going to politely disagree with this. Levi signed with the understanding he would be given every opportunity to get NHL time from the beginning and (much to the chagrin of this board) no long term goaltenders would be signed to block his path. I do not believe the promise of no AHL Time was given. Adams gathers opinions from various sources, the front office, coaches and such. One of his weaknesses ( yes there are a lot more) is allowing certain opinions to carry more weight. There were rumblings that certain members of the front office wanted Levi to go to Rochester, but Granato and Adams to an extent felt he gave them a better opportunity to win. A few weeks after these initial rumors, Jeff Marek mentioned on his radio show, that there are those in the Sabres Front Office who felt Levi getting a majority of the starts in Rochester was the best option for him, but a few people still wanted him in the NHL. After hearing this from a major member of the Hockey Media, I do believe those rumblings to be the truth.
  4. I like this perspective. The last two sentences hit the mark
  5. From Chad DeDominicis Latest Article Mentioned Savoie was the prospect the Sabres were shopping. Other teams wanted other prospects including Anton Wahlberg. There was another deal in place at the draft that fell apart involving Savoie. He believes Adams waits to see if the prices go down for wingers in the trade market. Savoie was mentioned as a piece in the Ehlers Trade Discussions. He also mentioned Zegras and the fact Philadelphia hasn’t moved a forward yet.
  6. Something else that should not be discounted. With Byram and McLeod they have two players well within the age range of the Sabres Core who have Stanley Cup Final experience. That should be beneficial to this team
  7. Historically it has been an easier transition for a center to become a winger in the NHL
  8. Tom Webster reported the Jets rumored asking price was 14oa, two prospects and an unprotected 2025 1st. That’s way to high of a price
  9. Granato had a Levi Obsession as well. It’s one of the reasons it took so long for Levi to be sent to Rochester.
  10. I wonder if this could be a prelude to a Necas for Ehlers Trade. It would make sense from both sides
  11. Those were pretty good
  12. Referring to the season that starts in October 2024.
  13. Whether he is 23, 24 or 25, the data does not change. He has very good away from two of the best players in the world. Savoie will probably look outstanding and put up quite a few points next to McDavid or Leon on His ELC McLeod is what the Sabres need next year, this could be a win/win for both teams
  14. Aube-Kubel is the one of the best if not the best defensive forward on the team. You want him playing every game
  15. There is actually some data that Krebs passing to Malenstyn might work
  16. As @tom webster pointed out the Sabres were looking for a different type of player as their 3C. From a playing style and cost standpoint they found him.
  17. I’m not trashing Savoie. McLeod will help the Sabres next season and is a huge improvement at the 3C Savoie will not. You major this deal seven days a week and twice on Sunday
