  1. No, he isn’t even practicing. Nadeau however has been
  2. Getting Joseph Woll back would definitely be a boon for the Marlies.
  3. An explanation of the Gold Plan https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2059085 Other options are to average the season point totals over 2-3 years for non playoff teams and base the final draft order on the team with the least amount of points picking first. The final option would be a tournament of non playoff teams where the teams that finish 32-26 play for the Top 8 Picks and 25-17 play for picks 9-16. This would give non playoff teams extra games for additional revenue with the extra games, make each series the best of three with the higher seed getting games one and two at home and the lower seed getting game three. Yes I realize there is no way in hell the NHL does any of this.
  4. See the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1983-84.
  5. Quite a few people I trust to make the determination have complemented his skating, including Baker, Yerdon and Lysowski. If he turns out to be shutdown defenseman with limited offensive ability, that’s Ok. Luke Schenn, who quite a bit of the board was clamoring for at the TDL has a regular season career high of 22 points. If Novikov allows Power to active offensively without having to worry about covering for His D Partner, that’s a win for the D Corps.
  6. Agree that the pipeline needs more defense and goalie prospects. However I do believe that Novikov would possibly make a very good partner for Power on the second pairing in a few seasons.
  7. https://theathletic.com/1798463/2020/06/12/by-the-numbers-revisiting-the-true-value-of-a-draft-pick/?source=user_shared_article Source for the chart A pick somewhere between 50-60

  9. These types of trades are usually completed after the GM acquiring the player has had a chance to negotiate a new deal
  10. The first 100 other players asked said no
  11. Bertuzzi 4 x 5.5 Million AAV Tarasenko 3 x 5.3 Million AAV Klingberg 4 x 5.6 Million AAV
  12. He also probably doesn’t want a 9mm headache, radioactive tea or to be found floating in a lake face down either.
  13. If Michkov slides to Washington, it would not surprise me if he was in the Capitals Opening Night Lineup in October. There is a scenario where one phone call from Ovi to Putin and his KHL Deal is terminated.
  14. Joe Yerdon and Lance Lysowski mentioned the same thing on the Maintenance Day Podcast yesterday
  15. Sam Ventura was hired less than three weeks before the 2021 draft did not hire Dom Galamini (October 2021)and Matt Barlowe (January 2022) until later. The 2022 Draft was the first one that the analytics department was up and running for. Although I believe there was one pick that was made without full support of that department in the second round. It was the analytics department would wanted or trade up from 28 for Kulich. Fortunately the board fell their way.
  16. KO gets one more year if He wants it as GMKA has mentioned. Zemgus will be 30 next season is probably looking for a longer term deal in the 3-4 year range. Will the Sabres be interested in doing that? Zemgus said at the end of year, he would like to be back but this is a business. Adams has mentioned Okposo however has been coy about Zemgus. If the idea is to keep Krebs as the 4th Line Center, it would be much better for him to have wingers with some offensive finishing ability which Zemgus certainly does not provide.
  17. There is almost zero chance that Adams attempts an offer sheet for Frederic, he doesn’t need to. Kevin Fiala and Devon Toews are two recent examples of RFAs who were moved by their teams for cap purposes.
  18. Tall, lanky and both attended UCONN
  19. None of the three 2022 Jack Adams Finalists are still HCs
  20. Kane is deathly allergic to playing defense. To say He sucks in His own end is a gross understatement. The Sabres have zero need for for a winger with a declining skill. If you are looking for a forward with playoff experience look for one who can provide something the team does not have now. JT Compher, Haula, Frederic or Pierre Engvall would provide this.
