  1. 28 fewer points, 733k more in AAV than Tage
  2. When Murray refused to waive for Buffalo 7OA was sent to Chicago. Even had Murray waived for the Sabres, 16th OA plus would have been sent
  3. They gave up 7th overalll for one year of Debrincat and a pick in the 14-22 range
  4. There is a correction factor for that built in. Besides Jokiharju would have been second to only Jake McCabe in terms of rankings of all those defenseman listed with this years fancy stats applied to the 2018-19 Season And for fun here was Dahlin and Samuelsson this year
  5. Dahlin was 18 for the entirety of His Rookie Year, while Power turned 20 in November. Poweris going to be very good, Dahlin is elite
  6. Nope Dahlin had much better defensive stats
  7. On the most recent Expected Buffalo Podcast, Chad mentioned despite Adams public statements, they are not comfortable with their goaltending outside of Levi. He mentioned Adams isn’t willing to overpay in the trade market however. It sounds like Helly is off the table, Gibson and Vladar are the targets they mentioned. Chad did a breakdown of Gibson’s play His First 40 games were good the final ones were a disaster. With Gibson expected to be split starts with Levi, would he better than UPL and Comrie with limited starts? Vladar looked good in the AHL and he was the target of Sabres in the Hall Trade. Also they pointed out that Friedman mentioned Pesce has the NTC and he brought up Buffalo and San Jose as teams that are probably on it.
  8. Something else to remember, even though Dylan Cozens deal was announced during the All Star Break On February 7th. His press conference was February 9th. No Webster, Tom, Webster
  9. Swayman and Gustavasson both already applied for arbitration, we need those awards to be too rich for their teams
  10. One of the steps that has to happen for the team to become champion quality is for Tage and Cozens to improve their defensive skills. I think there will ne more concentration on defensive play from the whole team this season though. As Eric Johnson said the Avs took the next step when they slightly dialed back on offense and dramatically improved the defense. This did improve their offense possession numbers as they had the puck more often
  11. Any option is a good one, four to a lesser extent
  12. The problem with trading for a goalie at the TDL is they have minimal time to adjust to the type of play of the new team. Ryan Miller mentioned he had problems going from the Sabres to St Louis. Now if the Sabres are playing a tighter defensive structure next year, the transition might be easier
  13. Reilly Smith, who had two less goals but 16 more points and is a much better offensive play driver than VO went for 3rd Round a pick. It was Vegas Original 2024 3rd coming back to them, so that should be late. The Sabres would probably have to retain 50% to get anywhere close to that return for VO.
  14. I didn’t see it listed, but Friedman mentioned he has control over the team he goes to.
  15. Hanifin is an offensive first defensive and really isn’t what Power needs. Johnson and Clifton fill that role better than he does.
  16. Friedman was discussing Pesce being part of the return to San Jose for Karlsson, He mentioned that Pesce can block a trade to SJ. Interestingly he brought up the same point for Buffalo, I wonder if both teams were told no by Pesce’s Camp.
  17. There is analytic evidence that shows Gibson’s Performance decreased as the season went on and there maybe with a reduced workload ie splitting games with Levi, those numbers may stay strong. The problem as Mike McKenna pointed out on Sabres Live OT a few months ago is that Gibson has refused up until this point to adapt to newer goalie equipment or change his style at all, Mc Kenna lumped Quick into this as well.
  18. In Lance Lysowski’s article today, he talked about how important it was for him to graduate from College and how much work he had to do make it happen. He is really close with Nathan Paetsch and sent him pictures for the graduation. I imagine that’s why he didn’t sign right away as he was burnt out from a long hockey season and then catching up on school work. I also heard that Novikov moves very well for a big guy. Adams also mentioned that the Russians will be staying in WNY to train for awhile this summer.
