It is a natural course to an extent. It has to be encouraged in the best / rightest way to maximize the development. The coaches do deserve a good amount of credit or blame if their approach does not maximize the development. And back to Jeff Skinner. Obviously he was not developing. He was being held back by the coaching approach of RaKru. Not disimilar to the development of Rasmus, which was held back by the coaching approach of RaKru.

95% of Canada will have white Christmas. The very edge of the Atlantic coast (that's us) and the very edge of the Pacific coast of Vancouver Island will not. We have a heavy rainfall warning. A high wind warning. A storm surge warning (a new moon cycle and the extremely high tides associated with it). We are expecting wide spread power outages. We have out mini stove and butane ready. Have to be sure to have the Turkish coffee. We have bottled water just for flushing ... gravity was a wonderful invention and our septic system is 100% gravity fed so if we have water we can flush. We have drinkable water and enough food supplies. We have fire wood at the ready for the wood stove (have not used it yet this winter). Flashlights ... we are ready, but hoping for the best as always. Stay safe out there everybody and stay the blazes home.

I have always loved Jeff. Dare I say that his contract is well worth it. Perhaps not a bargain, but pretty close.

In a large part of the world (basically all of it except for America) he did. He and Jane had a brief fling (Terry was in a relationship with another woman at the time, if I recall correctly), which resulted in this tune. The lyrics are fantastic and a true reflection of the times then and the times now. Rumours and innuendo running rampant and the resulting chaos ... unless *our lips are sealed*.

Taves is UFA after this season. For a trade to work he would have to agree to a new contract that he would sign after the trade is announced. 2 years and $5M / $6M with maybe some bonus numbers on top of that.

Both bolds ... great example of him doing just that was on the penalty shot. The shooter had no chance when he went for the deek and UPL just stayed with him the whole time. There was absolutely no net to shoot at by that point. Great save. Preserved the lead at 2 at the time, which was critical.

I would make a trade for Taves this season. He probably does not fit the plan, but we are getting to the point where KA will start to think about adding important missing pieces. He needs to find a Dman or two as well, but I think that would more likely come in the summer, unless the Sabres are pushing real hard for a very realistic playoff this season. I admire your spunk and logic even if you are only half serious on this proposal, but I would not trade for Kane. I would consider signing him in the summer.

Maybe the Sabres sign them both??

I voted to keep all 3 up with the Sabres. This assumes that there are no other injuries or UPL falls off a cliff. Anderson would be the 'bench coach' like in baseball. Literally (is there any rule about how many coaches can be behind the bench during a game?). He would rarely play.
