He is RFA so the team has more leverage. He is a good kid and won't sit out. I do not want to bridge. That lead to trouble with Samson. If he refuses the 8 x $8 (which I do not think he or his agent would do) if I am KA I hold my nose and offer a 3 year bridge at Dahlin $ ... 3 x $6. He is still a RFA at the end of that contract, but by then we'll likely be talking 8 x $10+ for him. I really think that Cozens is not a *me first* kind of guy and will be reasonable in this.

This will be a fantastic game. I will be very surprised if either team wins huge, but I hope the Bills do that. In the end the Bills will do enough defensively to hold off the Bengals. The whole organization from the owners down to Rutherford and the GM should be ashamed of themselves. They treated Bruce very badly in all this. Coaches are hired to be fired and I don't have a problem with Bruce being fired. It happens. The issue is how this circus unfolded. Shameful. 8 x $8. That's as high as I would go. The Tage deal would buy only 2 UFA years. I think. I would want him signed for that extra year.

Dahlin has this year and next. Cozens will get paid, but Tage money. Both of those and Mule's kick in next season. Power will need to be signed the year after Dahlin. The Sabres will have enough to sign KO for next season at 2 or 2.5 and maybe even the year after that. The Sabres may need to decide about Girgs, but I think he will be back for next season too. At about 2.5.

I think the Sabres should think about trading his rights to someone for a 5th rounder. It is starting to appear that he will not be in their future plans anyway.
