I am in the minority here and maybe the only one, but I think that Jeff is worth every penny of his contract. In the coming years assuming all goes well it will be a bargain. What is the going rate for 30 to 40 goal scoring 65+ point first line winger in the NHL ... it's Jeff's contract. And that will only be going up.

If anyone he would take a *home* team discount, especially if the Sabres have a cup in the next 3 years or are really on the cusp of several cups. If he hold up over the next 3 seasons I can see the Sabres wanting to sign him to an extension.
