Should be the thirds next season. -
What Do You Expect Of Quinn The Last Part Of Season?
Sabres Fan in NS replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
He has 3 years left at $4.75. He will be turning 30 the year of his next contract. Hmmm ... it all depends on what happens in the draft and who might be able to bring what he does. If anyone he would take a *home* team discount, especially if the Sabres have a cup in the next 3 years or are really on the cusp of several cups. If he hold up over the next 3 seasons I can see the Sabres wanting to sign him to an extension. -
Tage, Mule and now Cuzsie. Dahlin will happily sign the Tage deal ... (+ 2.75 per year) ... 8 x $9.75M AAV ... with $15M in salary and bonus in year 1 and year 2.

Isn't Lube Man a UFA ?? I thought that he was signed as a UFA last summer. It all depends who develops in the non-NHL-rostered D. -
8 years $78M ... $9.75 AAV with $15M *actual* salary / bonus money paid in each of the first 2 years (is that still a thing ??).

I think Girgs will sign for 2, maybe 3, since he has been a good and loyal soldier through the dark years. He's a good guy too. Jost will be signed for 3 years, I think. Both of these deals will be in the $2.5M / year range. I think that KO may stay on for 1 year at $3M or may be retained as some kind of good will mascot or something like that. Then his salary would not count against the cap. Some kind of arrangement for Anderson I think. Power will likely be bridged, but the way things have happened recently I would be dead set against it. Pay him now ... he will be a great top #2 for the Sabres (he may not actually be on the top pairing, but yous know what I mean) and likely a #1 on many other NHL teams ... 7 years $50M. Mitts and Joker I think will be signed for 3 years each at around $5M per year. Krebs will be signed to a 2 year deal for $4.5M ($2.25M per year). Bryson will be signed to a $1M 1 year deal to play in Rochester or someplace when they dump him. UPL will be signed. Not sure of the numbers ... is he a #1 now or not quite ?? I expect a 2 or 3 year deal, but no idea about the $s. -
Cozens Contract Extension Announced, 7 years 7.1 Million AAV

Who told yous that Dylan would happily sign the Tage contract ... 😎 This is great news. I still think that Dahlin will sign for a smidge under $10 ... $9.75 maybe even 8 x $9.5 -
Some clown in the interwebs says that he has heard someone's uncle tell his brother to tell his neice to tell her cousin that they may have heard through the grapevine that the Panthers may be looking to trade Samson back to the Sabres. I'll see it when I believe it, eh. e(-3.89)

That would be a Christmas, Passover, Eid and every other major holiday miracle for sure. I hope that you are right and if that letter *he* penned to the fans is really legit it certianly is possible.

Devon Levi will be fine.

It was bad all night, but is better this AM. It's actually warming up rapidly and will be +3 (feels like -3) this afternoon with the wonderful *mixed precipitation* ... now that's more like it. Wood stove was burning all day yesterday and into the night. Let it die down overnight, but still toasty in here. I am working in my office this morning (taking a bit of a break to catch up here) so I have not started the fire yet. it may be too warm out later this afternoon to light a fire, but will be burning this evening / night. I agree, there is nothing like it. You need to get one installed, my friend.

So sad to hear this news, my friend. Seems like you are in good hands, but just in case you know who did Johnny Boy's surgery (insert winkie - winkie thingie here). Take good care and listen to the damn doctors. Thoughts and Prayers sent your way and I will continue to do so.

So you are either in Cleveland, LA or Miami. Since it's bloody February that should rule out Cleveland (who would vacation there from WNY in February ??). So, either LA or Miami. I think LA is over-rated as a vacation spot and too snooty for the @Taro T family. That leaves the land of the Fish. If you hear someone say that they intend to make you swim with the Fishes ... run away very fastly.

You had me until the OT in the regular season part. Give me back ties in the regular season. I like the idea that has been tossed around here for some time and @Hank just posted it yesterday ... a football style scoring system where the winner gets 3 points and 1 point each for a tie at the end of regulation. No OT and no shootout monsense.

Being right on the Atlantic (literally ... I can see it from my office window and can walk to it in not even 1 minute) helps moderate things. That said, we have been having a mild and relatively dry winter. Rain more than snow. We have been having more and more tropical storms in the last few years. Hurricane Juan (2003) devastated the area and it was a new thing. Since then we have had many more hurricanes and near hurricanes than ever. We have had torrential rains and winds when advisories had to be issued in January this year. @Wyldnwoody44 is right in that something is going on ... global warming / changing is a thing that is real. How much impact we are having can be debated and in the end it doesn't really matter. Our time on the planet is just a blip. Our planets time in the universe is just a blip. Earth will be here long after we humans have died off in the next mass extinction. A new Earth will replace this one eventually. Anyway, this extreme cold is not the norm, but the norm is changing quickly.

You know and love our Liger as I do, but sometimes he just has to state that he respectfully disagrees. Even if it's unclear as to the particulars of that respectful disagreement. You know ??
