  1. In other news @Norcal (who is not even in Nor Cal any more) has dominated the from page in a posting frenzy.
  2. This stinks. Of course there is a denial. Not even directly from Mr. Pegula's legal team. To my knowledge there has never been any hint of racism in anything the Pegula's have said or done. Jerry Jones is a different story, although I have no knowledge of his past behavior either.
  3. In regards to @Thorny it was one reply to a post of his that pushed him away. EDIT: Actually it was not a direct reply to a @Thorny post, but shots were fired directly at him in a posted reply to another post in the thread in question. It's easy to find.
  4. In case yous all don't remember Patrick Roy's rookie year here's a hint - it was 1985/86. He startred very slowly and didn't seem like much and that he was not quite ready. By the time the playoffs rolled around he was ready - he won the Conn Smythe and the Stanley Cup.
  5. DAMN !! Missed it by -- that much. The big 3 in the AFC all went down on week 1. Week 1 often is poopie for the class of the league.
  6. Looks like we lost a great one. In conversation with @Thorny his retirement is permanent. He said that he will lurk and may post some reactions to posts, but he is finished posting. I am hoping that he changes his mind. After all @LabattBlue came out of retirement after many years and he still is a force even at his ripe old age.
  7. Bills 38 Jets 17 That's it. That's the post.
  8. Thanks for everything. Happy Birthday!! *the years go by quicker than you think .. enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink*
  9. Levi will win the Calder and Vezina. He will lead the Sabres to the playoff. I would be tickled if he pulled a Patrick Roy and duplicated his rockie year.
  10. You made a good point. I think that Power may actually end up bing the better all round player.
  11. With luck he will be a good contributor to a playoff push the last month and once the Sabres are in. I am assuming he recovers fully and the Sabres make the playoff.
  12. He is likely to get 60(ish)+ games and contribute a lot of energy. 10G and 25A maybe a bit more.
  13. In other news .. who cares. @PASabreFan is right and @Taro T is right. Everybody gets a ribbon and we can all bask in the glory of this crazy world. I hear that a deal for Dahlin is done, or maybe close, or maybe not that close, or maybe just not announced, or maybe he wil lbe traded or maybe KA will be fired at noon tomorrow, or ...
  14. Come on @Taro T you have to be able to laugh at yourself. And you maybe right about VO. Official Bison staff cap, but not red shirt. Looks exactly like him too and he would likely be invited to the game with the rest of the gang.
  15. I am expecting career years from everybody. Even Bryson. He will be the best 10th D ever.
  16. Thanks. I get that it's not *signed* yet, but the deals are in place. Regardless of the smoke screen told to Elliot, which he dutifully was told to spread around the interwebs. I think your mean that thread, eh ??
  17. @dudacek and @Taro T .. I agree with Taro that Mitts will be signed to an extension too. Maybe not 7 years, but it will be another cap friendly deal.
  18. I understand what you are saying here. The issue with a bridge is that you will end up paying a lot more for Power in 3 years .. assumig a 2 year bridge. He will become the highest paid Sabre then. The optics alone would not be very good to have him earning more than arguably your best player due to inflation and cap rising. 8 years at $8.5M is basically market value for Power now. He would jump all over it and it will be bargain contract from year 1 (a year from now). Can of worms .. meet opener.
  19. Thanks. I had six out of 9. At first look I though the 2 hot dog and beer sellers were Sabre players. I was thinking .. who in the blazes are those two ??
  20. For as long as he wants he will be signed to 1 year deals. I think there will be one more after this one and then he will become VP of Player Relations or some such.
  21. I bet they have a deal with both. To be announced when camp opens.
  22. The life of a Sabres fan - creating anxiety and drama when there is no need for any. He is under contract for the coming season. The Sabres do not need to sign an extension until almost a year from now. That said, they will not want a distaction during the season. I have a feeling that the contract is agreed to and there will be splashie photo op at the opening of training camp when KA will hand a 29 cent Bic to Dahlin for the staged signing. Flash bulbs will go off and the cheesy grins will be wide spread.
