Sabres Fan in NS

I was not making excuses. I agree they did not play well against a better team (at least the Rangers played better). All I am saying is I was not surprised and I expected a let down.

Welcome !! We are neighbours. Where are you in NB? How did you come to follow the Sabres? In NS many are fans of the Leaves from The Great Satan. Some are Penguin fans because of Crosby and some are Avalanche fans due to MacKinnon. Many are Bruin fans due to the long history between Bastaan and Halifax. Others (mostly his family) love the Bruins because of that rat fink Marchand. There are very few Sabre fans in Atlantic Canada.

All the hype of a highly anticipated season. The players just aren't relaxed and don't seem to be able to play their game.

What a mess. What in the blazes were these two thinking? Careers ruined - check. Family ruined - check (at least for him if it's true that he is married). I will not blame the Pegula's for this show of lack of character in these two. Even if Mr. Pegula has a last interview / meeting before anyone is hired that is likely the rubber stamp on a hiring. There were many layers of HR and a process in this hiring. If anything it shows a lack of something (not sure exactly what) lacking in that whole process. Down the ages since Mr. Pegula bought the team he has trusted his advisors. Unfortunately, that advice has often been bad if not very bad. All that said, these things happen. There probably is not a notation in the employee guide about not getting involved with fellow employees. Maybe there should be, but that is not likely to help prevent such things happening.

Missed this one. Game 1. Home opener of a highly anticipated season. RJ memorial. Playing a very good team that is well coached. Often a 'trap game'. It was. I almost expecting a bit of a let down and that the Sabres would look flat. All in all a good experience and they will be ready tomorrow. All those same preasures will be on the Islanders. The Sabres will be fine. Finer than fine.

This is fantastic deal for the Sabres. A little bit less than what I expected on AAV. A good deal for Power too. These signings mean the Sabres are in business. The core is set. If Levi comes through the Sabres will be cup contenders for the next decade.

Sad news. 67 is pretty young, but we are seeing cases start in their 40s. Michael J Fox was very young when diagnosed.

I voted for Power and I think he will be first. Followed by Mitts, but I could see Mitts signed a little before Power. I believe those two are the priorities.

One word .. Cups. Malkin was smart enough to know that in order to reach his ultimate goal (winning cups) the best chance to do that was with the best player in the league at the time. I believe they have 3 cups together. Power will be thinking the same thing.

Good. I had a feeling the Sabres (management and players) did not want any chance at a distration from the playoff quest. This is a lot of money, but fair for both parties. And Mule.
