I hate OT and the SO even more. A tie on the road against a pretty good team that started slow, but are finding their way is not a terrible result. The Sabres are starting to figure things out slowly. Their top forward is out. Others are not 100%. A bunch of players just coming into their prime mixed in with a couple of old farts and rookies making mistakes, but learning on the fly is a recipe for some good games, some okay games and some stinkers. This one was somewhere in the middle of good and okay.

I think Krebs may be the last one standing when the music stops.

With respect .. The Sabres best overall game so far this season was against The Rockies (or whatever they are called now in Colorado). They played the Rangers pretty well too. The Sabres are not a winning team yet and are not to the point where they are ready to dump some prospects to get the final vet pieces to try to get the cup. Actually, the times that the Sabres have been on the cusp (hey @PASabreFan) they have not done that. I doubt they will anytime soon. The Sabres do have some sandpaper in the lineup, but they are not sure how best to harness it yet.

It's not as bad as I thought. I don't look at the standings much before New Year. 5 points behind The Great Satan for top 3 in the division. 3 points out of a WC in the East. Not great. Not even good. Not terrible either. 👀
