April Wine are not only Canadian, but from Halifax. I saw them when I was in High School. Great band.

This one hurt. Played well enough to run away with it, but for the 10+ mistakes and / or bumbled plays that came back to haunt. I think coach needs to be fired, but will not likely happen until the end of the season. The Bills are basically only 1 game (not sure of tie-breakers) out of the WC. I have a feeling that they will sneak in as the last WC at 10 and 7 - I think they only lose to Dallas. Then all bets are off. Something just doesn't seem right. Josh seems to have a better relationship / understanding with the new OC.

This myth has been debunked. The NHL is based in NYC and they love that the Rangers are relevant. That guy gets away with a lot. Always has, even when he was not playing his home games at Madison Square.

I still say no. The players are young and finding themselves. They are not quite ready to take the next step. We have a rookie who is in goal. Another that has played well and another that is hit or miss and often hurt. Never mind half of the skaters are rookies or old farts with some stars inbetween the two extremes. I hated Rod as a player, but he figured out how to win the cup as a player. He is a good coach too for a team at a certain point. Sure he is friends with Adams. I don't think the Sabres are ready for him or Gallant. Gallant wears out his welcome in about 3 years. I am not sure that is enough time at this point for him to get this team to the cup. Rod made his fame in Carolina. I am not sure he will want to leave without taking his best shot at the Cup as a coach there. This may not be their year, but it may turn out that way. If the Canes win the cup this season then the chances of Rod leaving triple at least.

Terrible !! 12 shots and two goals. That's not terrible, well the ratio is not terrible. So, if the Sabres managed 48 shots they would have won 8 - 7. Terrible !! Oh, well. Who's next ??

Kyle is a good captain for this team. He is needed for his vet leadership at this point and nothing else.

Did you even read what I said ?? And @Thorny you may want to take back that beer thingie you gave our friend Nill. If not .. I believe Levi will become the best Sabre goalie SINCE Miller, maybe even Hasek - meaning he could end up being a better goalie than Miller. I did not say that he will be better than Miller and certainly he will not be as good as Hasek, whom I think is the best to play the position - warts and all for quiting on his team.

Levi will be the best goalie for the Sabres since Miller, maybe even Hasek. He is a kid playing a man's position in a man's league. Last year he was playing in the NCAA for Pete's sake. He needs time. I am not sure if Buffalo is the best place for his development, but the issue remains that if the Sabres are really shooting seriously for the playoffs this season and they better be, then Levi will have to play a key role in getting them there. The team seems to be already relying on him too much back there to save their bacon. He has not always been able to do it. It seems that the team plays better in front of 6K and / or Comrie (mostly 6K).
