  1. I only joined the Club to post this. No offense, but I will unjoin / leave after this post. +++++ It is Saturday and the board is not very active and it happened late last night, but I am a bit surprised that this news is not getting more play. Anyway, I am quite liberal in my politics, so it will be no surprise that I was not a fan of President Bush. 94 is a very good age and he did seem to really love his family very much, so I will give him that. Like all Presidents, I feel that he has blood on his hands and I will pray to God to have mercy, as I do for everyone that passes away.
  2. I agree. They played an emotionally charged and taxing game the night before in Tampa. On the other had, did they look tired, or a bit *lazy* in that they may have thought something like ... *these guys are not the Lightning, we get their terrible backup, we got this*. I am not saying that's what they thought, but maybe. I hope not and I don't think so. +++++ Also, it seems that only NB read my opening line carefully enough to notice some playfulness. Oh, well.
  3. Morocco is fascinating. Always wanted to go there.
  4. Good take. I agree and I think that every fan will say this ... the Sabres are good, but still need to address some issues. The issues now are minor in comparison to the massive issues over the last several years. Still they playing well enough to be, at last check, which was early this morning, in second place in the league. I don't think anyone can honestly say they expected that and saw it coming.
  5. Has anyone seen Eleven today? Either here. or for real? I know today was / is hard for him.
  6. Well, as of right now ... second place is not too shabby. Hey, why all the sad faces?
  7. Fantastic!! I can see why you like Carter. He looks like Carter.
  8. I don't think he is very hard on the eyes. How's that for an eye test?
  9. Yikes. If this trend continues you guys are going to fire my ass. That's if chz doesn't do it first. I feel shame. I'll show myself out ...
  10. Hold the fort guys and gals, NS out, but I may check in from time to time ...
  11. ? It's been 8 weeks now. I completely forgot about it until I just realized it's Friday.
  12. I hear you. Thanks. You know what though, this GDT title is not me. The Dastardly Flyer (although liger beat me to it, but he adjusted his title), The Snarks and the Lightning GDTs ... those titles are me.
  13. Guys and gals, I just took a look at the schedule and I reserve the right to go back to my more flamboyant GDT titles for that afternoon. Kay?
  14. This is the right way to look at the loss last night, IMO. The winning goal was scored with less than 6 minutes left in the third, IIRC. The Sabres had the lead earlier in the third, but gave up the tie-er-up-er on a Stamkos PP slapper (?). Not to shabby at all really. On the road. Against the best and most balanced team in the Conference, if not the League. The Sabres went into Tampa and said ... bring it on. The Lightning did and the Sabres very nearly came out of it with a win, or at least, a tie.
  15. I think your sarcasm metre needs a tune-up. (insert winkie-winkie thingie here)
  16. Really. I mean, what has he done for us lately?
  17. Which him. I posted about Pysyk and Weegar? Hopefully that awfulness trend continues tonight.
  18. Tells Phil to keep playing him?
  19. No. The Sabre brass banned such 'anti-celebrations', along with the equally 'anti-celebratory' 'Vanek face'.
  20. I understand your trepidation (sp?), but I have the exact opposite feeling. The Sabres come out flying and win going away in a statement game. 5 - 1 final. A hatty for Eich and a 'Miller shutout' for Ullie.
  21. This can't be right, right?
  22. It's nice to see Pysyk on the second pairing. Is that real, or just the state of the Panther roster. I always liked him and thought of his as a good second pair guy eventually. Also, very nice to see a Moosehead alum, Weegar, on the third pairing. He was drafted in the 7th round in 2013 after playing a big role in Halifax winning the Memorial Cup that spring. Good for him, as he has seemed to have found a home on the Panther blueline.
  23. Thank you, good sir. I'm fine. No worries at all. I, strangely, feel well rested after such a fitful night. I even missed the game. I got a bounce back notice on that letter. Must have had one letter off. My wife sends her best regards, but it's cold in California this morning. Much Love, NS Fantastic. I hope I didn't make them cry. Awesome!!
  24. One track mind ... mine, that is. I'm glad you caught me and not SDS. LOL!!
