Sabres Fan in NS

OK. I get that, but I don't think it's a big problem and is not hindering the discussion. We are on page 4 several hours before puck drop. The last GDT that I started with a bit of fun / flair in the title is still going and is on page 32, which is due mostly, if not solely due to the good hockey the Sabres are playing. If the goal of the thread title is to help drive discussion I don't think some fun in the title, even if it is 'noisy' is a problem, at least the way I see it. If you guys tell me to change it I will, but under protest.

With a name like that please tell me you didn't think that he was from Oklahoma, eh? Correct. No need to be stressed out about this, or any other, Sabre game.

I could not help but notice that along with being pinned this thread also has a little star that indicates that it is 'featured'. Any of the powers that be care to let me know what that means? Is it chz in a behind the scenes way of giving me another hint that the thread title needs to be a bit more descriptive?

My wife descibes NS as ... 'that place that they are talking about when they say you can't get there from here' and 'we are so far out in the atlantic and at the edge of time that our very own Sir invented a time zone just for us' and (my personal favourite) 'NS come visit us, we are the Canadian Province that looks like a big _ _ _ _ _'

We love NS and will never leave, probably. But it is like a third world country. No power this AM. A bit of snow and wind, but it's late November in Canada. What the heck do they expect. NS out ...

I'm not trying to drive discussion, but there is a long standing tradition here to talk about the game in a GDT. Especially when there is a thread covering the very topic that was discussed at length here. Several posters tried to get back to the topic at hand. Anyway, carry on ...

Woke up this morning. Smiled at the rising sun ... And the Sabres are still in first place overall. I like that, but we won the regular season championship before and fell to it's curse, as many others did. MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!!
