Sold another hockey card on eBay this morning. Marcel Dionne rookie card ... $40. After eBay fees and PayPal fees and shipping ... ending up with about $25 in my pocket. I think it's worth it for very little effort.

Playing themselves out of a playoff spot.

Each and every GM in the NHL, or whatever league, are never just standing / sitting around. -
Upon reflection on my post above, some of you may be surprised that you see no Queen album in my top 5. Believe it or not, there is not one Queen album where all the songs would be in my top 5, which is how I approached the above exercise. So, if I may ask for a 4 a) ... that would be Queen - Live Killers. I would just close my eyes and see Freddie on stage.

reminds we of the old and not very good, IMO, joke ... if these guys were so wise what took them so long? Oh, I see the bouncers have arrived on the scene ... I'll be going now ...

I agree @Taro T, 5 is really tough ... so many, but not really thinking long and hard may make it easier in a way. So, in a particular order ... 5.) Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway 4.) The Allman Brothers Band - Live at Fillmore East 3.) Bob Marley - Exodus 2.) Pink Floyd - Meddle (their finest collaborative work before the creative domination of Waters by Wish You Were Here, which is a very good album) 1.) The Clash - Sandinista (shout out to @Sabel79) ... 'and there you have it'

Merry Christmas (Eve) and day (tomorrow) to all our Orthodox Christian Brothers and Sisters out there in Sabreland and beyond.

If I was asked to sit down and peel away at a long list to ultimately come up with my top 5 albums of all time ... The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway would be #5.

Jbot Do Something Already - 4 Saving the Playoffs Edition
Sabres Fan in NS replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
This (the Berglund situation) is a bump in the road. JBOT will not be thrown of his plan because of this. We should not get worked up about it. I agree with Radar in that the 10 game streak really spoiled us, but was not a true reflection of the state of the Sabres. The Sabres are actually enjoyable to watch and we have a real NHL roster now. What a dramatic improvement. The Sabres are a vastly improved team that has a ways to go. I thought they would be in the hunt for a playoff spot until the All-Star break, which they are. Anything beyond that would be a bonus in my mind. Rome was not built in a day. The roster is not what JBOT intends it to be, but his mission last off-season was to address the attitude and culture of the team and to improve the two most critical areas, IMO, which are goalie and D. Mission pretty much accomplished. I don't think he was absolutely shopping for and wanting to trade for Skinner. I think that trade presented itself and it was a no-brainer. Improving the top line by adding Skinner, in my mind, was a bonus. JBOT is not the type tp panic and deviate from his plan. The coming off-season will be another critical one for him and the Sabres. After what seems like forever, but is not even close to the 40 years of Brother Moses, of wandering in the desert we are nearing the outer edges of said desert. -

SabreSpace Goal of the Year Semis: Risto (Sharks) vs. Jack

Pi has been terrible the last day, or two. Called him out and he just threw the bait back out there. Oh and ... as time is winding down to poll closing I think it is close enough to call it an official 'Miller shutout' on this semi-final. -
Good for you. They say the first step to recovery is admitting that there is a problem.

Yep to which? I don't think that I am wittier than you, so, again, I will assume to other yep.
-
ZING!! I assume you mean not in direct exchange, but the end result of such trade. I hate to assume, but I think I know you well enough to see what you did there. If not, well, it just shows to go ya that I am wittier than you.

A 2 - 1 loss in Boston does not sound all that bad and it seems that the SAbres played well enough, but Rask brought his A+ game. I did not watch the game, nor the highlights yet, so maybe that is not right ... I just looked at the score and saw a headline that Rask made 30+ saves. Anyway ... Onward ... So, this day before GDT thing is over I presume. See you all Tuesday, eh?

English Premier League 2018-2019
Sabres Fan in NS replied to Sabel79's topic in Soccer / Football's Topics
The holidays messed with the EPL. No matches this weekend, but somehow I missed a huge win my Man C over Liverpool on Thursday. A year ago I would have loved that result. Now? Not so much. Still very close at the top of the table. -
What's going on?
