BM, or even GMBM, is terrible.

And the real funky thing is that they are not very far out of the playoffs in the West. The West has 6 dominant teams and then everybody else bunched together way back. I think the Rookies (man, I am having one of those old geezer moments again ... they have not been the Rookies in forever) ... Colorado is the Sabres of the West. One great line and then not much atol.

The Flames are a very good team and this will be a huge test, especially after the most recent *effort* by the Sabres. One thing that I have never been able to figure out is why the Flames kept the Flames nickname when they moved from Atlanta all those years ago. Rather silly, IMO.

My banishment is over, I say (and I may be the only one saying it, but too bad ... all you guys have not had any luck at starting these either). This is the most MUST WIN!!, of all the MUST WINS!! GO SABRES!!

I know nothing of the Edmonton debacle, except for the final score. Was Scandella not on a 'regular pairing' for that game? Samson will not get his own line for the remainder of this season. I think Phil has the notion, ill founded IMO, that he is coaching for, not the playoffs, but for his life right now. He is convinced that the best chance for the Sabres to win is to keep Samson on the #1 line with Jack and Skinny. He may not be wrong in that thinking, but they have not been winning with that line intact, so he should be doing something else with Samson.

From my experience, if you land in Istanbul you will not want to leave. We almost didn't. It is a fascinating place and literally where East meets West. You can be standing in Europe and walk acrost a bridge to Asia.

The goalies are just like every other player the Sabres have. They need to play lights out in order to have a chance to win. There is no clear starter now, if there ever was, and they should split the remaining games right down the middle to see who has what to offer going forward.

I appreciate this very much. I do appreciate Weave's support and I do think that Hucks reply to my post was out of line and showed a general disrespect. That said, I agree with you that I, nor my post, was the target of that disrespect. It is well known that I am not a Christian, but I still found the image in the link you posted (not you for posting it, mind you) very distasteful. If I were a Christian I would find Hucks post extremely disrespectful.

I am so not a fancy phone guy, but have gotten accustomed to having that very powerful mini computer with me at all times. About the only thing I can't do very easily is make, or receive, a phone call.

Those lines are not terrible. I know Samson should be on his own line, but who are you going to put with Jack and Jeff? Maybe try Erod up there with them? I'm not sure KO belongs with Girgs and Larry either. I think I would try Sobotka (sp?) with them and KO with Mitts and that other guy.
