Sabres Fan in NS

How could anyone not love Jeff Skinner? He always has a big smile on his face and he is like a kid on a pond. Always looks like he is having more fun than should be allowed. Sadly, that is mostly missing from the NHL game.

Because they changed managers from one that had completely messed up and they are winning against bottom half of the table sides? No, I will still have my fun. Although, at this point a top 4 finish is not out of the question based on the 3 and 4 sides being just about as stupidly managed on the pitch as Man U was. That would truly be the most disappointing outcome of the season, IMO.

Man, I didn't remember Potvin being such a good scorer.

Coffey was a great puck mover and scorer. One of the best ever. Only one better, IMO, was Orr. I would like a good mix of Coffey in there, as well. I don't think Paul controlled the game in the same way as Potvin, or Pronger. I would like to see Dahlin able to do that. I really think that he will.

OK, so which one of you yahoos is robo-calling my office and cell from North Carolina (again)? Is that the right price? Or, the Price is Right?

My hope is that Dahlin's growth will not be in scoring, but as he matures and learns the game he will dominate the league in the way that he controls the game. Like in more of a Potvin, Pronger and Chara way, but much better scorer than any of them.

I knew where you were drifting. Just playing. The Sabres have been on an extended break (why is it that it seems like only they are on holiday for 10 days) and all the natives are quite restless. I still hold out hope, as he is still very young as goalers go. I have not really followed his development post draft. Is he still in the Montréal org?

Hey, I have been scouting the Mooseheads for years and actively trying to convince the Sabres to draft at least one Moosehead every year since the 2013 draft. I have a very strong feeling that this is the draft. LAVOIE!! ?

He is doing very well as an 18 year old rookie. I believe he will become all he is to become in year 4, maybe 5. He will only be 22, or 23, years old. Imagine that. I think he will sign a contract in the 8x$8 to $8.5 range. Possibly as soon as the summer after this coming summer. Like Jack did, if I recall correctly, with 1 year left on his ELC.
