For better, or worse, this is Jack's team. I will not pollute this thread with a tirade on how he arrived here. He is the face of the franchise and, therefore, is 'Captain material'. That said, I agree that he is not a leader of this team now. He may develop into that. He is still a kid. As time goes by, I think that he will be the second most talented player on the Sabres. Eventually, Dahlin has a good chance of developing into a real leader of this team, but Jack will still be the face of it and will wear the 'C' for as long as he is here. I can't see the Sabres trading him before his current contract is up. After all we have been through I would not want to trade Jack even for an amazing haul.

The two kids up front in the photo ... one is awestruck by the rugged handsomeness of Bogo and the other one is so he aint my type.

Skinner, or any player, will be comfortable with the $ anywhere they sign and would be welcomed, which does not translate directly to said player's comfort level with the team and city. Those lines combos are not the worst I've ever seen. I'm thinking it's very likely Mittsie will be sitting out tonight. EDIT TO ADD: The D combos are not terrible either.

+++++ With each passing day it appears more and more that Randall has pulled a LabattBlue and retired. Josie has not been seen in a long time and now we may have lost dark. We need good quality veterans of the board to help mentor the kids. Just like the Sabres.

@PASabreFan, The only thing that I remotely like about those dastardly Flyers was the Kate Smith tradition, although not in the spring of 1975 mind you. Anyway, I agree that the Flyers only dragged her, or her image, out for MUST WIN!! games. So, all the remaining games the Sabres will be playing this season are MUST WIN!! ... you better be well rested, my friend.
