My wife and I (pre-marriage) used to dance to this in all the best clubs in Old Montreal. Vince Clarke is a synthetic musical genius, who went on to some fame and fortune in Erasure. All that with no instruments. Alison Moyet can really belt it out.

Thanks, chz. Who invited all the clowns? ?? I wonder if we shall see Vinz between the pipes? What crazy line and D combos will Coachsie come up with today? Man!! It's a 9:38(ish) Halifax puck drop. I hope I can make it that long. MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!! -

I heard from our old friend Yuri this morning. He had his moments on here, but I liked him. He and GODD stuck to it with their guns a blazing, just like in good ol' Brixton (hey, oh @Sabel79). Anyway, he is back on side with his beloved Man U, which is his biggest blemish, IMO. GO GUNNERS!! -
Paging Inky to the random thread. Come in, Inky.

How bad is Tage? Should he be in Rochester?

Is it just me, but is it not bad form to make jokes about a woman being thin when she died of a terrible eating disorder? Twiggy was a beauty and still is. -
In order to win in the NHL your team defense, especially the last line of defense, needs to be stellar. Goals are rare. Each winning team has few scorers, but they are better at preventing goals than the average teams. The Sabres had that during the streak. Many wins were in OT, by 1 goal. Since then they don't. The Sabres are not very sound defensively and when the goalies are not playing lights out the Sabres will lose more often than win. We have seen this recently. The goalies have not played well enough, but overall team defense is not what it was earlier. I'm not sure what the solution is, but they really need to tighten things up defensively. I really think that it comes down to experience and maturity at the NHL level mostly, with some upgrades in talent also welcome. I am not worried about secondary scoring.

I think Skinny would make a good lawyer. Really. Anyway, it seems like he wants to stay and will stay, if I am permitted to read between the lines a little bit.

Yes. If I were JBOT I would sign him to that contract. Trade Hutton, or keep him as bate for Seattle. When is the expansion draft? Is it tentative pending a work stoppage? +++++ To the OP. I am still much more concerned about the goalers this year, up until the Sabres are eliminated from the playoffs officially, which will likely happen in the final week, or so, of the season. I am not giving up yet.

The baby fud folks expanded their operation? When did this happen?

I always was the least handy guy on the planet. After completing some projects recently I felt that I moved up to the second least handy guy. Now I have proof.

Yup. Top goal in Sabre history, IMO.

@Drunkard, I will assume (hate to do that) you mean our friend is full of wit and wisdom, eh?

I think it is Joshsie ... pre-stash.

He has a nose for value ...

I think that I remember that it was up to the Sabres to honour it if they intended to trade him at the trade deadline, or something like that. Bottom line is he is a Sabre and they have dibs on signing him to a new contract. Must I always correct your spelling, duda? It's acrost. Agreed on a $ figure, but not term? What is that nonsense? I'm calling BS right here, right now.

Anytime that I hear about someone taking their own life it's very sad. I have no idea who he is, but that makes no difference. On another note ... I hope you and dark are doing OK, if not well.

Marner is a dink. Great player and all, but a dink none the less. -
Oh, I'm calm. The calm during the storm, as it were. Everybody remain calm, he says in my best Fred Flintstone quivering voice. I agree, all is well. Skinner will be fine and also sign. Look. A poet.

Don't quote me on this, but since he waived the NTC to come to the Sabres I think that was his one and done NTC waiver and the NTC is gone from his contract.
