Sabres Fan in NS

With so many fans down in the dumps, which is understandable, it is refreshing to see many who do not see that this disaster of a season, especially since December 1st, or so, is completely on Phil. It is so easy to blame the coach.

With all the doom and gloom in Sabreland it is quite refreshing and somewhat surprising to see that many do not see coachsie Housie being fired.

This next musical interlude is dedicated to our awesome and handsome Eleven. He likes to weave (hey, oh @Weave) a fancy tale about stars that frighten (?) , but he has entrusted me with top secret poop and nothing but the poop (hey, oh @PASabreFan).

They could fire all the coaches and bring in Scotty (again) and the Ghost Of Punch and the Ghost of Toe and it would not make a bit of difference until the roster is improved. I don't think that Phil will be fired. JBOT, by doing so, would be admitting that he failed.

Both my wife and I are in complete agreement that if we were both younger and fitter (like Gary Glitter ... hey, oh @Sabel79) we would settle in New Zealand.

My very witty reply has disappeared, or it was deleted by a mod, or (most likely) I was distracted by work and did not hit submit. Anyway, here goes (again ?????) ... I feel that the current Sabres are very Close To The Edge of being Fragile. I do love all the Drama of it, though.

Too much work and not enough hours in the day. March and April are like that, though. Anyway, I shouldn't complain ... I signed up for it. Ramadan is coming soon, so I'll regenerate and refocus then.

He isn't wrong. Phil could be a good coach. None of us know the answer to that yet. He needs better players, especially better at the 'system' he and JBOT want the Sabres to be playing. Until that happens we will not know. So, Phil will not be fired for another 2 years, IMO. I really believe he will have that long, at least, and possibly longer. We better be prepared for the long haul of heavy slugging to get there. I think we will.

Hey guys and gals, 14,000+ time caller here in NS. I have no time to check anything other than the final score. By that count this would appear to be one of the most stinky of all the stinky games the Sabres have played this season. Would that be fair? I'll hang up and listen. Thanks.

I have no time to read the whole thread, but I can see that you took some heat for your new avatar and, IMO, rightly so. If you say that you are not switching teams 'officially', but want to be entertained and follow a team in the playoffs (I'm doing that with the Habs) there is a right way and a wrong way. Way up thread I told everyone that would read it that I am fully behind the Sabres, but will be rooting for Montreal (my long-standing second team for many reasons) once the playoffs start and if Montreal is in ... changing your avatar, IMO, is not the right way. Your post that I am quoting is completely out of line and uncalled for, unless you are actually trolling everybody here. There can be no other explanation, IMO.

Where is that thumbs down thingie? Montreal has always been my second team. My wife is from there and it's a great city. The Canadiens have 24 cups in around 110 years. That is really something. Whatever ...
