  1. What a story book ending to the season that started out so terrible. Will the Sabres have one of those? It is spring, so hope springs eternal.
  2. last 3 seasons of his career. Not exactly a Gretzky thing.
  3. The hardest part to watch were the over-the-top goal celebrations. Score goals. As many as you can, but don't be dinks about it.
  4. Pan fried Haddock tonight, with stuff. Right from the pan and into our bellies.
  5. Except those equally dastardly Flyers. Good thing those two aren't playing tonight. GO THE OTHER GUYS!! So far, so good.
  6. None, I hope. Bottsie hired Krugsie. Let the head coach hire the assistants. The GM should be looking for good / better players.
  7. Expansion to 48 teams is set for 2026, which is really only in place to find a way to have the 3 hosts auto qualify without taking away too many slots. I did agree with good ol' Sepp when he said the current allotment of qualifiers is not fair, reasonable or global. The whole 1/2 bid nonsense from someplace is a joke. Europe and South America have too many slots, IMO, but I don't think expansion is the answer. A better way is to redistribute the 32 slots in a fairer manner.
  8. Are you sure you went with the least creepy option? I vote ... delete.
  9. So, the Raptors lost game 5 at home by 1. In other news ... the NBA admits that the refs missed a shooting 2 foul against Gosel in the final minute, with GS up by 3 at the time. In other, other news ... some of the fans in The Great Satan were real dinks.
  10. Or, one of those things that we talk about for so long, but never, ever happen. (insert winkie-winkie thingie here)
  11. Never watched the show, but Phoebe ... there's your Chet and Muffy. Both. Yup.
  12. Was not the 1992 Bills team that went to the Superbowl a WC team? Was that not the comeback year?
  13. Hey @WildCard, NS here ... many times a caller, but never a listener. How come MLS is not on your list? Thanks. I'll hang up and listen now.
  14. I went NBA simply because a team can be dominant for years in the regular season and in the playoffs, but in the playoffs anything can happen and often does when you get to the final. Warriors = 5 straight trips to the final and all of the WCF have been billed as the 'real final'. Well the Warriors record in the final now is 3 - 1 and most likely to be 3 - 2 after tonight. That is not dominant, IMHO, in the finals for such a dominant team. Also, I do not believe KD will play tonight. And if he does he will be no factor. I really hope the Raptors win tonight, if for no other reason than to have that so very annoying Drake dink shut the heck up.
  15. Lucky, man. Say hi to Putie for me.
  16. Another timely leak courtesy of @Brawndo ... NS out ...
  17. Yeah, that's him. That's the guy. I also agree with @dudacek about Risto. I am putting him in 'my core', but I think Ralphsie will get a reasonable time to see how best to use Risto and than Bottsie will make a decision on what to do with him ... trade, or keep. If Risto stays there can be no doubt that he is part of the Sabres 'core'.
  18. I would say Samson does belong in that group and I am tempted to put in the new guy (man, I can't remember any player names right now) ... the D from LA, or the Ducks? Someplace in California I am almost certain.
  19. Shout out to @Sabel79 ... welcome to the 5,000 post club. +++++ GO CS12!! GO CANADA!! Make us prouder than the Raptors. Oh, yeah ... GO RAPTORS!! WE LOVE YOU!! (even though you play in The Great Satan) ...
  20. If I am JBOT I make that trade every day and twice on Sunday.
  21. Not to derail this awesome thread, but you are correct. Eid means festival and there is a traditional (meaning not part of the religion per se) 3 day festival to celebrate the end of Ramadan. It is spent with family on day 1, friends and neighbours on day 2 and with the poor and needy on day 3. There are two Eids. The second and more important Eid is at the end of the Hajj (day 10 of the Hajj month) and is to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim (PBUH) to sacrifice his own son (and his son's willingness to be sacrificed) at the will of God (in the end God said don't do it). This is the more important Eid for most, as it is a reminder of how we all are here and anything that we do is at the will of God. The whole of this Eid is focused on taking care of the poor and needy.
