I will take one season like the Raptors had and win a championship and say thank you very much superstar. No hard feelings at all and best wishes to you and your family. I understand completely your decision. Once again, thank you very much for what you brought to the team, the city and the country. If it were me I would make that trade 1,000 times out of 1,000. I wish there is a similar trade made at some point soon by the Sabres.

Bennett would be a good addition, but he isn't a second line centre, IMO. I think he has played a lot of wing. He is an upgrade to the overall talent level of the Sabres, but I don't think he fills the most glaring need.

I have not heard any confirmation of this. Do you have a link, or is your source the same dude as Pi's?

The reports I am hearing is that it was hard to tell exactly who it was, but I would be shocked if it were not him. Everyone on the plane were driven directly to a downtown hotel where the Raptors executives were seen entering earlier. I think there will be an announcement tomorrow morning that he has signed for 2 years with the Raptors. That would put him at his 10 years of service when he can get his max - max - max deal.

I believe this is correct. Yup. Housley was not very good, it seems, but he did not have much to work with. The biggest problem with Housley, IMO, was he was trying to have a roster play a certain way that the skill set was not there for. He also seemed to not be willing to let Jack be Jack. We will never know what might have been if Housley had a better roster to work with. EDIT TO ADD: @Randall Flagg, what very well though out analysis. You should have been out on a Saturday night with dates and mates, but instead ...
