My wife and I have several 'rules' that we have formulated over the years, not for each other. The biggest one is we never answer the door bell, or knock, ever. And we don't look out to see who it is. We don't want to risk being snout to snout with the snout that we are ignoring. Words to live by, I say.

I agree that it much more to do with off ice and non hockey issues. I also like to think that it was the player(s) and not the owner that started the ball rolling.

I don't think either team needs the added layer of President of Hockey / Football operations. They have tried that and it did not end well, but mostly by the President of both teams doing / saying something inappropriate, or something. The answer from Graham did not specifically address the point of the ROR trade. I find it hard to believe that the Sabres GM would just decide that one of the best centers in the NHL needed to be traded for lesser players on his own. It does not make sense from a purely hockey stand point. On the other hand, maybe the GM had a tough decision to make in addressing the 'culture' of the team.

I have no issues with Zemgus being signed. He has developed into a good player in the role he has with this team. Until there is someone to replace him that is better than him he is welcome on my Sabres team.

I learned a few things during this recent NBA FA period ... one is that every player is essentially a free agent. Some guy on CBS Sports Radio taught me that last night.
