  1. Cleaver play on the 'how soon is now' theme.
  2. Thanks. It is just that we are in one of those times when one is just very much overloaded with life in general. Specifically, the stress of 2 homes for longer than we thought and hoped and dealing with the management of it all. So much on the plates that we just don't know where best to focus and something has to give. We hope in a good way.
  3. Our luck with dishwashers over the years. Leaks ... replacements every 2 - 3 years on average. Until we got the basic of basic models 10 years ago. A few hickups along the way, but it's still ticking. Oh, crap ... now I've done it. +++++ On my complaints ... where to begin? Oh, well. I won't bother everyone.
  4. It's built like a tank and our other house is fine too. Thanks. We made it. NS back on the grid and reporting for duty. I bet Risto was NOT traded in my offlineness.
  5. A little rain has started, but it is creepy and eerie quite now too. The very calm before the very storm. NS out indefinately.
  6. Thank you, my friend. We will try. We have decided to stay at the new house, even if it is more vulnerable and nearer the coast. That said, the storm has strengthened to a cat 2 as it is now moving over open water. The rain will start very lightly very early tomorrow morning. Heavy rain and wind will start around 4 PM landfall (right dead on Halifax) will be around 6:00 PM, with the eye and wind shift at around 8PM. By 10 PM it should be past us and still a hurricane as it crosses NS to PEI. We have a back up plan in place to take our most important (books and paintings from Bosnia that can't be replaced) items packed up and ready to evacuate if need be. This afternoon I brought the Legend to the Bedford house and it is tucked safely in the garage. Tomorrow morning I am getting a ride back to Prospect. Yes. And it has.
  7. We are going to have a big problem here in NS on Saturday. If it is even close to Hurricane Juan in 2003, we will be dealing with the aftermath for weeks / months. My wife and I still have 2 houses to worry about. One right on the coast where this thing is going to land. We have provisions stashed at both houses. We are still thinking about where we should ride out the storm. We are more worried about the new house. We moved pretty much all of our stuff there. The old house is on higher ground and we are worried that if we stay on the coast we may not be able to get out for a considerable time. I have a very bad feeling about this one.
  8. Up here they have been combining the two outlets in many locations since the the Wendy's parent co purchased Timmy's a few years ago. I am not certain, but it seems that most, if not all of the drive up windows are only for Tim Horton's stuff, primarily coffee. If you want Wendy's stuff you have to park and go inside.
  9. You guys are very good, very talented. I definitely hear a good mix of late 60's and early 70's Genensis and King Crimson in this tune.
  10. Risto minus ?????
  11. Up thread I noted that I traded some junk for more space in our den. That not enough for ya, eh?
  12. You guys are real cute the way you are going at each other. I would guess that you have been married for 25+ years. I will settle this right now. Sid is the best in the NHL right now and back then too. He deserved the Smythe.
  13. Not a rumour atal, but I traded an old bookcase thing for more space in our den this afternoon. Yup. Confirmed. E5.
  14. Dahlin - 77 points All the rest ...
  15. He has his own Youtube channel and he does a weather update anytime there is a major storm coming. I am not sure if he does a daily mundane weather update, but he is famous for his storm warnings. I don't pay close enough attention to see how many followers he has, but he always gets a huge number of views when a storm, or potential storm, is heading our way.
  16. I completely agree. He will take the league by storm. I predict that he will run the 1PP unit and his assists from that will be way over the top. So much so that I am comfortable in saying that I expect he will lead the league in D scoring. Yup. I said it. When that happens he will be awarded the Norris. Yup. I said that too. As far as max contract goes, I think he will get it, or very close to it. What that looks like $ wise depends on when the new CBA is negotiated, either 2020, or 2022.
  17. I think the hair on his head and chin are beautiful, but how does he manage to squeeze a helmet onto that hair, eh?
  18. This is the second most famous Frankie in Nova Scotia ... https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/frankie-the-backpack-beagle-takes-the-internet-by-storm-1.5260589 This is the most famous Frankie in all of Nova Scotia, maybe even the whole world ... Love Frankie, even when he is telling us to duck, duck Hurricane.
  19. Jason going home?
  20. Jody was OK, but just OK, which is a very small notch above JAG, IMO.
  21. Point 1 ... Yes. They were. I will refrain from saying that they were the only time that 'weapons of mass distruction' were used. On civilian targets, no less. Point 2 ... Too late ... I already looked. I will be keeping a close eye, especially since our new house is right on the coast and our other house is about a kilometer inland. Yikes.
  22. Ha, ha, ha ... Man U is just so terrible again. I love it!!
  23. 'Gimme Honda, Gimme Sony' 'So cheap and real phony' ? That's all I got ... shout out to @Sabel79
  24. That would be such a terrible look if they do. I really think that they will die on the escrow hill in 2022.
  25. No. The war ended September 2nd.
