That's terrible. I eagerly await your second complaint.

The chemicals in that thing are going to kill you, but not before they make you real sick. Happy Thursday.

@Weave, It was at an 'Arabian Night's' (which is offensive in itself) event at the private school were he taught. It was in 2001, which was a time when this kind of thing was not acceptable. He does not have the excuse of youth like he does when he performed in Black Face the Banana Boat Song in a High School talent show. He is around 45, so these things were not acceptable his entire life. His father would not be proud of him now. Intention does not matter to me on these things. He should have known better.

They are Sikhs and you are right that they are smiling and it is pretty obvious that it was some kind of fun event. That does not make it right what the PM did. He is very over the top and back in 2001 maybe things were different, but I can see how his getup would offend. I'm a white guy with many brown friends and I'm offended. I am ashamed of his behaviour, especially since he has called out others for what they have done in the past, mostly as young people. He was not young then. He was teaching in BC at the time, so a full grown up adult. Shameful. It is different if a black person does it, as there is not the same history of oppression. Times have changed and we as a culture do not and should not accept this behaviour, we should not have accepted it 20+ years ago either.

We now have set Federal election dates in Canada, thank goodness and thank you PM Harper, as it was one of the good things that he did. The polls are very close between the Liberal (Trudeau) and the Conservatives. I am a fiscally responsible social democrat. Kind of an oxy-moron, which describes me perfectly, especially the moron part. After branding himself and his party as the most inclusive and (quietly) painting the Conservatives as a bunch of racists this story came out yesterday ... https://www.cbc.ca/news The hight of hypocracy, right there. This combined with the on-going SNC Lavalin scandal will mean we will, most likely, have a new government and Prime Minister elect on October 22nd. Of this, I am almost certain. During the previous election and early in his mandate PM Trudeau promised election reform and some form of proportional represention (likely a mixed Parliament, with some MPs elected under the present 'first passed the post' method of the MP elected in each riding with the most votes and other MPs picked by the popular vote). It is easy to promise such things when you are not the governing party. Of course, nothing has changed, which is too bad, but I still feel good and comfortable in my vote ... Green Party.

Hey, ho!! I was all reved up and ready to go (?) on Monday. I forgot all that junk. Well, now it's Thursday and under the big heading of when it rains, it pours ... found a small leak in our hot water baseboard heating system at the Bedford house (the not new one). It seems to be at an elbow joint (behind drywall) in one of the zone lines right near the boiler. Turned the water supply off in that zone, which stopped that anoying drip drip sound and texted our plumber. There is no water damage anywhere else along the line, as far as I can tell, especially in the room heated by that zone, which is very good, because, in addition to the obvious reason, the heating water is water mixed with a small amount of anti-freeze to ensure pipes do not freeze. That stuff is nasty. On-ward ...

That's it? With so many other reasons for a band to be on their bad list divorced band members is it? This is one of the many reasons why we should not take those nutbars seriously.

I think that game is being played in New Brunswick. A small town that was touched by tragedy. Sorry, but I can't remember what happened.

I would not want to pay Laine 9 milion / year, but that one dimension you keep talking about is one that the Sabres are very short on. I would trade Risto for Laine straight up. Now, for EHLERS!! (?) and Laine I would send Risto and anybody they wanted (not named Jack and Rasmus (the fantastic one)) to The Peg in a heartbeat.

They are really good. I didn't know that Governor Christie was your cousin.

Basillie was basically rejected by the NHL, as he said he wanted to move the team to Hamilton, ON. The Leaves certainly would have vetoed the sale if Bettman had not. Enter Tom, who famously said that the Sabres would never relocate if he owned them. Bettman and the NHL applauded and the Leaves breathed a sigh of relief. When Golisano was selling the team he rejected Basillie for the same reason ... relocation. By that time the BlackBerry empire was starting to crumble and Jimmy had no real $.

So, what happened tonight? Also, last night? -
I think if you try to edit the first post in the thread you may still have the power, even if a mod splintered it off of some other thread. Try it, eh?

Am I wrong, or is there no possible way that they would not have smashed right into that pier after jumpimng the shark?

Probably nothing more then the PA officially stating that they do not want to reopen the CBA at the end of this coming season, which brings us to the looming lockout 2022. Paging @Taro T ...

Jimmy “Dishes” Vesey - future star or the next Sheary?
Sabres Fan in NS replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
I don't know what you mean by 'future star'? I think he will be a good player for the Sabres and will likely be given a chance to play with Jack and Jeff, which will help his goal production into the 20 - 25 range, especially if he gets some PP time too. Does that make him a star? 25 goals is very good. If he makes that he will be a 'star' on the Sabres and will likely get the contract you mentioned. -
Time for @Taro T to update the thread title.
