  1. Somebody Got Murdered = fantastic. Bills touchdown = fantastic.
  2. When I was a youth my favourite Sabre Dman was Hajt. Liked his game and modelled mine after him. Adopted #24 and it is the only number that I ever wore up until retirement after college. I never played at a more organzed level other than High School and College House League. I blew out my knee, kind of, at an early age.
  3. Sandinista is such a fantastic album. My #1, for sure. Junco Partner on the turntable right now in the land of NS.
  4. The original crusades were also ill-conceived and not successful.
  5. The Pegula's have publicly stated that the Sabres are in Buffalo for as long as they own the team. Same as the Bills. Next?
  6. Listening to Sandinista while working on preping for a call with the IRS tomorrow and checking on the score once in a while ... that's more like it on that last drive, eh?
  7. If he turns into the closest thing to Bobby Orr since Bobby Orr, which seems likely, there is no way the Sabres offer, nor will he accept, that little. I really don't think any recent UFA, or RFA, signings will have any impact on his next contract.
  8. He is fantastic at managing a team. He went to England and really turned a nothing side into a very well run EPL team. That most often does not lead to a championship, as the EPL is the most notorious league for having championships bought, most recently with Middle East oil money. I think that he was brought in for a bigger role, but the coach was the available position and might as well have him turn around the players first and then move on to running the team as President.
  9. The sun is shining, kind of. Progress, kind of.
  10. I hope he cashed in one of those tickets to Paradise.
  11. Share some greased tea with me ...
  12. Samson. Game 1. 14:37 period #1. On the PP. Yup, a PP slapper.
  13. I bet JBOT will trade some prospect. or other, maybe a pick for this guy. #givemealltheD
  14. No. Not elite, but a decent starter and a very solid backup / fill in when the Sabres are good in a few years. I think that guy with the long name that starts with 'L' will be an excellent starting goalie, maybe elite.
  15. Every day is silent and grey ...
  16. No. I would not fire him, but I might demote him to 'fan'. When does the season start?
  17. Cleaver play on the 'how soon is now' theme.
  18. Thanks. It is just that we are in one of those times when one is just very much overloaded with life in general. Specifically, the stress of 2 homes for longer than we thought and hoped and dealing with the management of it all. So much on the plates that we just don't know where best to focus and something has to give. We hope in a good way.
  19. Our luck with dishwashers over the years. Leaks ... replacements every 2 - 3 years on average. Until we got the basic of basic models 10 years ago. A few hickups along the way, but it's still ticking. Oh, crap ... now I've done it. +++++ On my complaints ... where to begin? Oh, well. I won't bother everyone.
  20. It's built like a tank and our other house is fine too. Thanks. We made it. NS back on the grid and reporting for duty. I bet Risto was NOT traded in my offlineness.
  21. A little rain has started, but it is creepy and eerie quite now too. The very calm before the very storm. NS out indefinately.
  22. Thank you, my friend. We will try. We have decided to stay at the new house, even if it is more vulnerable and nearer the coast. That said, the storm has strengthened to a cat 2 as it is now moving over open water. The rain will start very lightly very early tomorrow morning. Heavy rain and wind will start around 4 PM landfall (right dead on Halifax) will be around 6:00 PM, with the eye and wind shift at around 8PM. By 10 PM it should be past us and still a hurricane as it crosses NS to PEI. We have a back up plan in place to take our most important (books and paintings from Bosnia that can't be replaced) items packed up and ready to evacuate if need be. This afternoon I brought the Legend to the Bedford house and it is tucked safely in the garage. Tomorrow morning I am getting a ride back to Prospect. Yes. And it has.
  23. We are going to have a big problem here in NS on Saturday. If it is even close to Hurricane Juan in 2003, we will be dealing with the aftermath for weeks / months. My wife and I still have 2 houses to worry about. One right on the coast where this thing is going to land. We have provisions stashed at both houses. We are still thinking about where we should ride out the storm. We are more worried about the new house. We moved pretty much all of our stuff there. The old house is on higher ground and we are worried that if we stay on the coast we may not be able to get out for a considerable time. I have a very bad feeling about this one.
  24. Up here they have been combining the two outlets in many locations since the the Wendy's parent co purchased Timmy's a few years ago. I am not certain, but it seems that most, if not all of the drive up windows are only for Tim Horton's stuff, primarily coffee. If you want Wendy's stuff you have to park and go inside.
  25. You guys are very good, very talented. I definitely hear a good mix of late 60's and early 70's Genensis and King Crimson in this tune.
