I think it is pretty clear why Samson was bridged. It's the cap. Even though I wanted Sam signed long-term and not bridged I can see the reason for it. Pretty good cap management, IMO. I am not so sure how much more $ Sam will command now then when he signed the bridge deal. I was thinking 6.5 - 7 when he signed the bridge deal for a long-term deal. Now I am thinking around 7.5 - 8, so about a million more AAV over 8 years. Not bad and next season the Sabres can afford that with old contracts expiring.

We are now officially below DeLuca 500 and with a -3 goal differential. Yuck.

Not to mention that terrible ***** has nothing to do with ownership.

'Cus everybody is on a rampage tonight. It started even before the game did.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think the Sabres have played that badly tonight. There biggest problem is all the missed shots. A little more on target and / or a bit of luck and this game would be tied, at least.

I think they will come out on fire to start the third. Jack with the hattie + 2.
