The Bills were right there with argueably the best in the league. Neither offense was very good. A battle of very good defenses and the Bills bent first and last. Neither broke, really.

10 - 6 at the half. So far, so good, I say. The Bills are in a position to win this one.

It's sunny here in Halifax. Bloody hell cold, though.

Root for the Sabres, as always, and hope for the best. Sorry, I know you wanted more, but I really have no idea.

It's a fine state of affairs when it's Pearl Harbor Day and we are scoreboard watching to see if anyone is helping the Sabres. The Sabres better start helping themselves and soon.

Punch took an expansion team to the finals in year 5. I think our biggest fear about Eichel shoud be that no one has been able to build a good enough team around him yet. And this is year 5.

I think you may be on to something. That said, I think it depends a lot on a fan's definition of elite. The biggest goal questions are easy to answer. For me, #11's was his 500th, which put him into some very elite company. Jack has scored many very nice goals, but to me he has not scored his 'biggest' yet.

I can't believe I stayed up for this. On the other hand, if I hadn't I would have missed that call. I have to do a little digging in the morning (later in the morning - it's just gone mid-night here) and get back to the client by 9:00 AM. Yikes. Enjoy the 3rd. We got this. MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!!

I got on an 'emergency' call with a client (not really an emergency, but they all are to them, which is what matters) AND NOW I'VE MISSED THE DAMN FIRST PERIOD AND MY SUPPER IS COLD!!
