This is a good perspective. He's a good guy and I would have loved him on the Sabres as recently as 5 years ago, but not now.

I know a number of people who have survived COVID and were considered to have beaten it only to die some weeks later from a series of mysterious strokes, or lung, or heart issues. Long term survival is going to be a big thing for some / many.

I think the Sabres should keep Risto. He is not part of the problems with the Sabres. That said, if he needs to be part of a trade to bring in top 6 forward help then so be it.

I still think they should trade the pick for some immediate top 6 help. E. S. was a good pickup, but NS needs more real players.
