I agree, it seems that Eich is disgruntled, but has not asked to be traded and seems willing to work things out going forward. Listening between the lines of what KA and JK have said and what they have not said, I think you are right. A big mistake, IMO. We will not see the playoff for another 10 years, maybe.

I really don't think that any Sabre fan would want to trade Eich. I think that the fans that want to trade him feel that it is necessary due to their belief that he does not want to play here, which seems to be not the case since we have been told that he has not requested a trade. Of course, I tend to not believe anything a player, or team management, say. For the record (again) if I was running the Sabres I would not trade Eich at this point. Neither Samson. Risto possibly.

I do not want the Sabres to trade Jack. If I were running the team I would not trade him. I voted in favour of this deal because it is so much to the Sabres advantage that I could not pass it up. This deal would never happen. I think it is more than fair to say the the forum temperature is ragingly high right now.

I would be very surprised if Samson and / or Eich are traded. Risto ... not so much. That said, I would not be completely surprised if the Sabres kept him too. The players are the least of the problems right now. KA needs to nail the next coach, or it will not matter who he trades so and so for who and who.
