I agree with all of this, but I think it needs to be emphasised that your point of 'currently' is most important. I am not saying that in the past many players had Buffalo on the top of their lists of desired teams to play for, but up until 10 years ago it was, mostly, a well run franchise. And good players came to play here willingly. I also agree that Power should be the Sabres first pick.

He never really wanted to stay with Toronto. After winning there it sealed it that he was going home to LA to bring a championship to the other LA team. The trainers were great in Toronto and Kawhi loved to 'load management' strategy and it worked very well.

I think it was @Taro T that explained that since Kyle has the limited NTC he has to be exposed in the Expansion Draft, but we can't trade him to Seattle, or something like that. I think he makes his list when he is told by the Sabres that they plan to trade him, but am not sure about that.

I understand that, but I am not sure what the basis for the tirade is and think it's a bit over the top.

I do believe that the expansion draft setup is similar to the Vegas setup, so anything could happen.

If that's the case then Seattle would not likely be his highest choice. He can kind of dictate where he would go. He has a limited NTC.

In other news ... Today is the Copa America final between Argentina and Brazil. If Messi can deliver it will be a first International title for him and for Argentina after 28 years. Somehow, I just don't think that Messi will deliver. Kickoff is at 9:00 PM Halifax time ... Woof!!

No. I think that calmer heads on both sides will prevail. I predict that neither Jack, nor Samson, are traded for many years to come. I won't say never, because I can only think of one career Sabre that had a very long career with the team.
