  1. LIGHTNING!! THUNDERBOLTS!! Very, very frightening ... NS out for a bit ...
  2. Let's see ... Risto is exposed and Seattle take him Borgen will be Risto in 5 years partnered with Owen Power on the second pairing Sabres sign Suter to a 4 year $20 million contract and he wears an 'A' Neither Jack, nor Samson, are traded Jack does not have surgery and fully recovers by December Jack will lead the team in points at a PPG pace over 82 games ... he will play around 50 games, wearing the 'C' Samson will take a huge step after signing a 5 year $32.5 million contract, wears an 'A' and the 'C' when Jack is out of the lineup ... 2nd in team scoring with 69 points VO will score 35 goals ... 15 not on the PP ... will have 20 assists to be third in scoring on this offesive juggernaught Owen Power will be drafted first overall and be on the roster all season Casy, Dylan and some others make great progress and are good players in the top 9 Girgs comes back big time heavy duty and wears an 'A' Rasmus II takes great strides under Granato and becomes a scoring machine and also a stud on D ... will be a Norris finalist, but not win Granato is given a huge hug by all Sabre fans when he gets us to the playoff in year one ... last team to qualify and we win the opening series ...
  3. Risto does not want to stay here and Borgan has a chance to develop into something. I would expose Risto and protect Borgen. If Seattle takes him it is addition by subraction and we can use the $ to sign someone else, like Samson, or Linus and stick Borgen in there, or bring in a savy vet D (Suter ??) to help out the kids.
  4. If I'm Adams I protect Borgen and expose Risto. It is ulikely that Seattle will take Risto and it is more likely they take Borgen, IMO. I think that Risto is a fine player, but his days in Buffalo are numbered, if we take Adams at face value concerning players wanting to be here. If Seattle takes him, again I doubt they will, so be it.
  5. There is no room for a cup winner on the Buffalo Sabres, especially that one. I know, I know ... you said nothing about the Sabres in your post, but what i said needed to be said, so I said it. How's that for goodly typing?
  6. Can he bring a certain Halifax native with him?
  7. Best post ever.
  8. But at least we now know that he will suck for us, eh ...
  9. Over the years I have setup Twitter accounts and eventully have delete them all. Yesterday, I did just that. I wanted to let a few of you here know that, because you were following me there ... you know who you are. Twitter has it's uses and I always start out with the best intentions of using it to follow news and business information, which is often very fast and usually pretty reliable. Inevitably, I get roped into the junky side of Twitter, but I admit that I allow this to happen. It started this time around the US Election time and yesterday I reached the breaking point. I found myself wasting too much time there. I don't think I will go back again, as I think the end of Twitter as we know it is coming. I have setup a News Feeder feed, which gives me headlines from my most trusted news and business sights that I select. So, looks like yous have my somewhat less divided attention now SabreSpacers ... I know what you are thinking.
  10. This is a good question and on the surface it does seem odd for them to do that, but yes. The Sabres do not have many really desirable players, so Seattle will have to take someone basically to fill a roster spot. There are other teams that will not be able to protect much more desirable players and Seattle will take as many of those as possibe. I think that makes sense, but maybe only to me ... lol!!
  11. The deal came about after getting Jeff to waive.
  12. This is exactly right. This move proves that he is a real team player here in Buffalo. I can't see anyway that Seattle will take him. This allows the Sabres to protect another forward that they would have to and there is a real risk that player could have been sellected by Seattle. As @LGR4GM noted, there is the distinct possiblility that there is a gentleman's (for now) deal in place for Seattle to select a lesser Dman (likely Miller) in exchange for a law end draft pick.
  13. Hey, Matt ... It's been a long time. How are you doing?
  14. I agree that UPL is not quite ready. I do think that Linus will be back.
  15. Léon - The Professional
  16. That whole interview looked chopped to pieces and edited to kind of fit a narrative for the Boston fans. The whole part in question looks like it was pieced together from 5+ years of interviews with Jack at home in Boston. I have a feeling that answer about playing in Boston was recorded much earlier in his career, maybe even before he was drafted. He maybe referring to his BC days, as I don't hear him actually say 'Bruins', but maybe I missed that. I am not going to listen to it again. DASTARDLY!!
  17. To the question at hand ... yes, if the right deal could be struck both would be very good veteran additions. If it's an either / or thing than that is a bit tougher, but I think Suter over Parise.
  18. I like it. It's clean and neat and I don't really notice the rocket thingie. The only thing I noted in the Randomer Thread was that I still rather be in Sarajevo, or Istanbul (not Constantinople) since that feature went away in the upgrade. I also want to thank @SDS for all that you do to keep us distacted for a while from the rigours of life.
  19. How about a refund for last year and a recduction for this coming season?
  20. Good job, but #9 (LANNY!!) is retired by the Flames
  21. Welcome to SabreSpace. Is this the Ghost of @PASabreFan?
  22. Good match. Good tournament. Good side won. I still do not like penalties to decide the final of a major international tournament, but I am happy the Italians won. I had predicted them to take it from the beginning. On to WC in 2022.
