  1. Welcome!! Sent you a beer. I would like to have Ek, I think most would.
  2. Yes. All this is about Nashville. Montreal's hit is nothing really. Looks like $1M, or so.
  3. It's 13:46 here now and I have heard absolutely nothing. NOTHING!!
  4. It really didn't help me either ... lol!! Sorry @Brawndo the link is not very clear, as in blurry, and not easy to follow, at least for me.
  5. I did use that site. It is very confusing. Near the bottom of the link it shows what looks to be the yearly cap penalty. I did take the total of the last 4 years on that list for the remaining 4 years, assuming he retires now, or before the start of this coming season. I'm just a CPA ... math is not my stength ... lol!! Also, it's hard to follow what is said in that article. Either way ... 50M, or 25M it's a big pile of dead cap.
  6. Looking back at it now DR did a pretty damn good job, at least until we know who took over. And when cheapassness took over.
  7. See my post in that other thread ... $50+ million over the remaining 4 years.
  8. Correct. There is absolutely no need for the Sabres to __________ (I can't bring myself to say it)
  9. Around $56.1 million over the remaining years of his contract. How's that sound? Poop to follow below ... https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2018/07/the-salary-cap-implications-of-a-shea-weber-early-retirement.html
  10. Hot off the presses ... Seattle trades Borgen and a 2nd in 2024 for ... Risto. You heard it here first ... E2.13
  11. Hyman for 8 years is pretty dumb, I think.
  12. Can someone do a play by play? I'll hang up and listen ...
  13. And we were worried about losing Borgen.
  14. I think he and his agent would be all over the 8 at 6.5. He would still be in his prime at the end of it and would likely command, depending on the cap situation and CBA situation at that time, what? $15 million a season would be my guess.
  15. It's gonna be a long night for you, my friend.
  16. With all the Dman they are picking Borgen will be low on the pecking order. If Seattle tries to send him down he has to clear waivers and the Sabres would be first in line to make a claim, or so I've heard. It is very possible (likely?) that we will get him back.
  17. The Sabres are the tightest ship that has ever sailed. We will know the pick this evening ... E2.25
  18. In before the delete ... @LGR4GM ... GO!!
  19. And Buffalo ????? Maybe they will basically pass on a pick and select a UFA that they have no intention of signing, or even spoke with?
  20. Since the official thread is full of credible leaks can we close this one now?
  21. Great post and great song. You are 100% correct on everything, except one small detail ... Gilmour was originally brought into the group to play guitar while Syd tried to sing and play a bit of guitar, due to his Acid addiction (??). Gilmour did not initially replace Syd. There was a period of almost 2 years and one album (if I recall correctly) where both were full members of the band. Syd more, or less, just drifted away. I don't recall any grand announcement, or otherwise, of his departure. The remaining members loved Syd ... the Wish You Were Here album is dedicated to and is about Syd.
  22. Well, our mock draft set up @GASabresIUFAN is shot to heck.
  23. From the dastardly Flyers ... Ghost There is one of the Dman they needed. EDIT: Not sure of how long remains on his contract, but his cap hit is pretty significant ($4.5, I think) for what Seattle will get.
  24. I think that maybe he means Ralph the Sabre coach?
