  1. When in doubt, I always blame the damn phone.
  2. I have my answer. Thanks guys.
  3. Depending on how reliable the source is, it's not as bad as I thought.
  4. If he plays like his father (who has 2 rings, I think, with Pittsburgh) and a little Hedman mixed in, I will be very happy. There you have it ...
  5. Is front loading still possible under the CBA? I thought it was eliminated after the Ehrhoff (SP?) fiasco and some others.
  6. Damn!! So if he signs he is on the team, right? No AHL?
  7. Power will sign, but will only get his 9 game look see (I think that is still a thing) and shows up full-time next season, which will end up being the first of his ELC. Other than that I really don't have much. Pysyk is still a NHL Dman, IMO, and will be alright. I think it will be a pretty good fight for 5 and 6 and 7
  8. If Nurse gets $9M I think that ups the price on Rasmus. $9M is alot for Nurse. He has 1 year left at $5.6M.
  9. I think my bridge amount is low ... make it 2 years at $4.5 - 5 per year.
  10. I do not want to risk another Samson situation due to bridge contracts. I prefer an 8 x 8 deal to get 2 years UFA (I think he is 21 now). I would consider a 2 year bridge at 3 per, BUT it has to be the only bridge deal. Then sign him to tat 8 x 8, or maybe 8.5 - 9 by then at the end of the first year. That will buy 4 years UFA (I think).
  11. The pride of Inverness, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, home of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and the Highlands are a short drive away.
  12. Good signing and good value for the Sabres.
  13. But until that starts happening and it seems like it won't be soon this is a good idea, IMO.
  14. English is not his first language and he has been through a lot in recent years with is mom being sink and passing away, if I recall correctly. I have thought about it and I have retracted my *lol* thingie from @pi2000 post correcting @MODO Hockey English. Not my finest moment.
  15. Correct. @Eleven was not captain until the twilight of his career and even then he was maybe not the best choice.
  16. Article says most NHL teams are doing the same and cited COVID concerns. If so, that makes sense.
  17. Been here since 2014, apparently, but only 40 posts, so maybe he / she is still learning. It often takes a while to get used to the way things normally work around here. It did for me and now I'm an *all star* ... 😉
  18. While I don't always agree with @GASabresIUFAN, this is not a good way to counter his points, IMO.
  19. I think by the time Rasmus II gets to UFA the Sabres will be very good and he will give them a 'home team' discount to stay. Yup.
  20. I hope he can hit. He can't fight worth a darn. And yet ...
  21. Was it you that said John was definately being moved before the expansion draft? And then before the amateur draft? And then during round 1 of the amateur draft? And then before the FA Frenzy ... (just kidding, but I do think that many on here said / thought that) What would you say if I told you that I do not think John Edward will be traded atoll?
  22. That is not what I heard. Both really wanted to leave. Maybe lack of term from Buffalo helped. Anyway, I don't like when we fight. So, what do you say we just kiss and make up, hun? And ... not everyone is on $750K deals. I think one of the goalers signed for a kool mill and somebody else (Pysyk?) gets $950K and some others $800K, but I get your point.
  23. He choose to leave. There is really nothing that the Sabres could have done about it. Except maybe offer a 8 year $80M contract and even that may not have been enough for Linus to stay. Seems like he really wanted to go. Same with Jake.
