  1. Would the Sabres be first in line for that? I know the expansion draft worked that way with Borgen. You know what, I would accept Borgen back as a penalty for these shenanigans.
  2. The Pegulas would never move the team.
  3. That's right. I forgot about the 'old guard' is all but gone and maybe all gone from the time of Mr. Wilson. I still don't see a move being likely in the near term.
  4. Yes, I can see that. I am a CPA running my own small firm, so I am in the same situation as Dr. Cappuccino in that regard. I have contracts for my larger clients and I (somewhat) take direction from the business managers. Over the years as relationships build I am trusted to run the day to day financial operations, but I can't bind the clients to contracts. They let me do what I see as best, but in strict compliance with company policy. I don't really know why I just typed all that, but ... it's a lazy Sunday afternoon / evening in NS, of a long weekend to boot ... tomorrow is Natal Day. Don't ask me what a 'Natal' is ... all I know it's a day of work with pay for many here. Yes. To the any other supplier part. And ... lol ... to the Delaware North part.
  5. There is to much of a rich history for the NFL to 'hate' the Bills. The fans in the area (including Southern Ontario and Northwestern PA) are the most loyal in the land. I will say that the NFL would prefer if a 'big market' team(s) are the most competative each year, I think so anyway, but the TV deal is as it is, so they get the bulk of their revenue from that. I do believe that the Bills are a big national TV draw when they are doing well. I assume that a Chiefs / Bills Championship game is not the ideal matchup for the NFL, but to bad, it's likely to happen again this coming season.
  6. I am confident that the NFL will never allow the Bills to leave Buffalo. Much the same as the NHL never allowing the Sabres to leave Buffalo. At least not in the immediate future of my expected remaining life. 50 years from now, who knows, or cares.
  7. No, but the implication in some posts is that Dr. Cappuccino is on the Sabres' medical team.
  8. I believe @nfreeman was keying on the 'easily done' part of the simple definition and not the 'easily understood' part. What you are saying is simple to understand, but not simple to do.
  9. I know that and he should be rightfully praised for it. My point is that he is not on the Sabres Medical Staff, but probably only a consultant. I am not questioning his ability as a specialist in spinal surgery and treatments.
  10. Not questioning this doctor, he seems very legit, but I do not see him listed in the Medical Staff section of the Sabres Staff Directory, which probably means he is not on staff directly, but as a consultant. Interesting tidbit that I did not know is that Rivet and Peters are Sabre employees. Explains a lot. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/team/staff
  11. Today is officially Emancipation Day in Canada and also in Nova Scotia (us and Ontario are the only provinces to recognize the day officially). It's to recognize the abolition of slavery in the British Empire on August 1, 1834. It's about time ...
  12. Thanks to @HoosierDaddy for the apology concerning your post.
  13. Unfortunately, there are some on the interwebs that believe that is their responsibility. Just look at the Evander Kane thread that is very active on here now.
  14. Awesome tune, but @PerreaultForever is Canadian. From BC, if I recall correctly. Now, most Canadians of a certain age remember President Nixon. Not my lifetime, but I remember stories of Vice President Nixon. About the best thing he ever did was end the draft in '73, although somewhat reluctantly.
  15. I agree, but he is a bit too young and inexperienced. I vote for Kyle and when he is done as a Sabre, in 2 years I think, Cozens will be ready (I think) for the role.
  16. When Housley was drafted in 1980 the league was not ready for his talents and style of play. If he played now hockey fans would love him.
  17. We generally don't make stuff up that could hurt someone, or help define their character, when there is no proof of anything. Surely, you must see the difference between yucking about an Eichel trade, or drafts ... and this kind of stuff.
  18. I find it hard to believe that an NHL player making milliions could suddenly be bankrupt, but it's possible, just like anyone else when you spend more on credit than your income. Are there court documents somewhere on the interewebs that he is in bancruptcy?
  19. Great thread Not only are most here already pronouncing him guilty before charged, but some are calling his wife not smart. Yup another one for the ages
  20. The guy has issues, like the rest of us, but since he is a celebrity this stuff is latched onto. Yes. Poor guy.
  21. Until further notice it's his wife on a rant.
  22. I meant why start this thread. Why do we have to drag this poor guy through the mud every chance we get? Some social media junk and right away with no investigation, or anything, he is vilified.
  23. Can we just keep this stuff out of here?
