  1. Do have something that shows this? All I have ever seen reported was the the 'suspected difference' between the Sabre offer and the arbitrator award was $50,000, but nothing that says what the Sabre offer was.
  2. Seems pretty small time to me. Something like that is now legal (betting on individual sporting events) in Canada, except the provinces have not figured out how to administer it as the law just passed
  3. Hello Angry @bob_sauve28, Nice to meet you. 😉
  4. Okay. I can understand what you are saying and feeling. I happen to agree with you that he is terrible. I think that our PM is terrible, but I do not celebrate if something bad happens to him in terms of health especially. Then what about Karma? You mentioned this is Karma coming back to haunt him. This tells me that you believe in good and bad Karma, so what about your thoughts being bad Karma? With that, I like you a lot and we are not going to get anywhere with more back and forth, so lets just leave at this. Okay?
  5. Okay, wish was a bad word choice, but it does not change the fact that celebrating in someone's illness, or hardship, or whatever, is never right. No matter what they have done. I can understand victims of a murderers rampage feeling fine with them getting their punishment, but this situation is not like that. Even if you make the arguement that his policies as governor of Texas have been problematic and part of the issues with COVID illness and even death it is still not right to celebrate his misfortune.
  6. This is correct. No matter what. If you know better, you need to do better. No matter what it is very bad form to wish ill on anyone. This is not going to help and is also a bad take, IMO.
  7. Stunning result in Nova Scotia last night. A Progressive Conservative sweeping majority. No one really saw this coming. At the start of this very short and ill timed campaign the Liberals had a slight majority of 1 seat. The Premier took over from the retired Premier in February, so he wanted his own mandate, but he didn't need it now. He had 2 years left on the mandate he inherited, but nope, he needed his own. Well it backfired on his ass big time, heavy duty. The PC party ran a very good and very progressive campaign. I wish them luck in doing what they outlined. I am not upset, as the PC party right now are very liberal. Nova Scotia is a funny place in that they keep their hands close to their chest during elections and when they get pissed off they will really show it. Only about half of the eligible voters voted, which is disgraceful, and the ones that did about 40% voted PC. So, that means that roughly 21% of the eligible voters in NS decided for everyone else who was going to run the province for the next 4 years. We have a very strange electoral system here in Canada and it needs to change. I bet Mr. Smug Ass Trudeau is watching very closely what happened in NS last night. I think that he is in for a reconing on September 9th. I just hope that he hangs on for a slim majority, since I don't like his main competitor at all. My hope beyond hope is that Canada finally gives the very liberal NDP (New Democratic Party) a chance to govern, even in a minority. Minority govenments, both Federal and Provincial, tend to work best, as the PM needs to work with other parties to get things done.
  8. Develops the film so they can all sit around and watch films?
  9. Some of these are pretty funny. I don't see anything like this happeneing. As far as MLS goes, Toronto FC (since I like FC I do not say that they are from The Great Satan, even though they are) kits are fine ... a big BMO on the front, but Bank of Montreal is their big sponsor and is paying for all of it. BMO Field, BMO this and that and the other thing too ...
  10. I think you are onto something here, Mr. Smell, or do you still use Judge even though you have retired?
  11. I gave you a lol thingie only because the poop my brains out thingie is not available.
  12. So, Patches and the guy the Sabres screwed over are back in town to help develop the kids. This is so numbskullish that it may actually work.
  13. You must mean MLS, eh? The major leagues in Europe do not need these ad revenue. The Emire that owns Man C does not need to get some $ because he has Etihad Airways on the front of the jersey. He owns the damn airline too. Fun fact ... Etihad technically opperates out of Halifax (in conjunction with Air Canada). So, I can fly to UAE (not that I would ever want to) on Etihad Airways.
  14. Hello NASCAR or EPL. They need to suppliment their revenue, so I get it. How does it work? Will each team get their own sponsor and charge whatever the market will bear, or is there some kind of revenue sharing, or whatever?
  15. We have approached this thing much differently in Canada. Our case numbers in most places are very low. In NS we thought the world was coming to an end when we had 6 weeks of 'high' numbers ... some days we had added about a hundred a day for about a week. Then we shut it down and rode it out. NS has just under 1 million people, about half of which live in Greater Halifax, which includes Sunnyvale Trailer Park. People in Canada - the real parts ... not Ontario and Quebec, where the numbers were actually quite high when compared to the States and Europe ... tend to get worked up about the numbers @Ducky was talking about. I am concerned that we in NS have added 9 new cases today. All Delta and all related to travel. And now we are allowing you Yanks to come into Canada.
  16. @GASabresIUFAN ... Risto was not part of the damn tank fruit. I am surprised he survived the tank and was not traded by TM in his terrible rebuild attempt.
  17. That number seems to be stuck in an unclosed loop and every single hire has to be paid that. Goalie. Yup $750K Forward ... $750K Dman ... sorry we wanted to do $800K, but can't ... $750K it is Rip ... chz ... PA ... Charlie ... everyone!! $750K
  18. Wow!! Mike, you look a lot like Rob Ray. Creepy likeness. Who's the photo bomber on the left?
  19. This election is not needed. No one wants it except Trudeau. He wants his Majority back and polls show that it is likely, although now he is getting a lot of backlash. It's a good example of him abusing the system. We have fixed elections in Canada now and his government was working, but he needed the support of the very social democratic NDP in parliament, which means he had to be even more left (Trudeau is not a real 'Liberal' like his father before him). The Liberal Party historically has been centrist, as was the old PC (Progressive Conservative) party. Now we have the Conservative Party, which lines up very well with the most right wingers in the Republican Party. The NDP and some of the Liberal Party mix together and come one like many Democrats. The most liberal of the NDP party are your very left Democrats (Bernie). My first election when I was young and stupid (19) I voted PC. Every since that I have either voted NDP, or Green. I voted Green in our NS election (election day is tomorrow) and will vote Green in this Federal election. I hope that Trudeau does not get his Majority. That arrogant bastard!! I really don't like him. He promised me and every other Green Party (and other 'third' party supporters ... there are about a dozen official parties in Canada and most run some candidates) proportional representation in 2015 and we still don't have it. That's an easy promise to make when you are not in power and something that you will never enact when you are in power. It works well in Europe and New Zealand.
  20. Full disclosure ... I am not yet vaccinated and am back and forth on it. I am NOT a rabid anti-vaxxer. I do NOT wear a tinfoil hat (well mostly not). I am a guy that is hesitant because I know people that have had disasterous health outcomes after vaccinations. I know these people very well. We are close. I have my doublts as to the long-term efficacy of these vaccines. I can get it easily any time I want it here in NS, but I am waiting a bit more to see what happens. We seem to have approximately 12 to 13% of the eligible population here in NS that are thinking the same thing. Those numbers have been consistant for several weeks now. Very few people are getting their first shot here now and mostly people are getting their second shots. I do know some people that have had their first shot and are waiting for their second and a few that have said they won't get the second after some pretty bad reactions to the first shot. Anyway ... I am NOT a villian, so I do not like being villified. Here in Canada and maybe in the States too I am being blamed for speading the Delta. I am not. I do not have COVID. I have not been anywhere that I could have contacted COVID where there would not be some sign of it. I very, very rarely leave my own little paradise here on the beautiful coast of NS. When I do it is for as brief a time as possible and as safely as possible (double masking ...).
  21. They are saying that cities are very Liberal, while suburbs and out in the towns (more rural) generally are more Conservative. Same as in Canada, although our divides tend to be regional. With that, we are officially out of bounds. Sorry.
