  1. To the bold ... He is the insurance policy. Frank to Jim. He will most liley play. Josh will miss some time. The Bills will be going for it this year regardless of trading him. They will have an easier time going for it this year if they do not trade him.
  2. He may not contribute very much at all. He is the insurance policy if Josh goes down for more than a game. I agree that 99.9999999% of the time Beane would take the first and not even think about it. This year is, IMHO, that 0.0000001% of the time. Anyway, it's not a debate to get worked up about, as there is no way any team is offering a 1st for this guy.
  3. That's fine. The Bills need to go for it this year. This guy helps in that. If he leaves for nothing after this season so be it.
  4. I know. It's just brutal. It's like the powers that be can't stand a small side coming up and make it very difficult for them to stay up. As long as after 38 matches they are 4th from the bottom, or higher, I just don't care.
  5. A great poet wrote ... 'the future is unwritten' That said the Bills future is now. Mitch's future is right now and for 1 year that cup of coffee could be held by someone as he hoists the Lombardi. Forget the first. This year the Bills have to go for it. Even Beane has to realize this. That's the bottom line. I would be surprised if Mitch is traded. And ... another bottom line (bottomer line ??) ... no one is going to offer a 1st for this guy.
  6. The Bills were close last year. This year they are legit contenders and have to go for it. They have to get and / or keep any player that they feel makes them better, even if it's just a little bit better, because based on last year they really only need to be a little bit better to get past KC. I don't think that Brady will be able to do what he did last year. This is their chance. They need to approach this season as if it's their best shot at it.
  7. I don't think UPL is ready. They will not bring him up until he is ready. I think we will see a lot of Dell and Anderson and some of the others coming and going from Rochester.
  8. Now, this playoff game, it must be a home game, eh? Isn't RJ only doing home games? Maybe he will travel for the playoff?
  9. Cool!! It's just like the good ol' days in Chicago ... I voted early and voted often.
  10. That's just great. Now I can't change my vote even if I wanted to.
  11. All it means is that you have had a lot to say. That ranking system is based entirely on the number of post. So, it's a quantity thing and not a quality thing. Not saying that your quality is not there too, but in this case quantity is not always a great contact negotiation tool. And once you get up to 20K in posts they stick you in the SabreSpace HOF, no matter if only a handful of the posts are any good. I am getting close to 20K and you all will be invited to my HOF enshrinement party. Does not matter that I could count on one hand the posts of that 20K that were any good atoll.
  12. Final home game of the season seems like it should be it. So, April 29th versus the Hawks. I would be surprised if it was any other game, unless something happens along the way that would prevent it.
  13. Norwich City FC is getting wacked by Man C, which was expected. DFL (right now and if the scores hold) in the EPL. The next match is a must win, or at least draw, or at least not lose by a lot. Is it time to panic @Eleven?
  14. Thanks. Nothing very exciting, or noteworthy, in those. It's no secret that Jack was frustrated. The team and fans are pretty frustrated with him now too, but the problems can't be put on him. I think it's par for the course that if other teams know that so and so is frustrated you inquire. I don't think trade talks had gone very far back then and it seems that they are not very far along even now.
  15. Can you post a link to those articles? Please and thank you.
  16. WTF is going on in Florida with the schools and masking rules? Is the governor there crazy too?
  17. I'm a gonna post something in the *other* COVID thread.
  18. I'm not really all that wrapped up in it. It's more that I am just sick and tired of all the nonsense and just want to get on with it. And thanks. You too. I am just tired of all of it. It's emotional, but with my recent post it's like a weight has been lifted and I am at ease again. I'm just going to relax and wait for the season to start. Whatever happens will happen.
  19. You, of course, are right. I don't know. My reaction is pure emotion and it makes no sense logically, but it is how I feel.
  20. I hated Van Boxmeer when he first arrived and I was ready to send Scotty back to Montreal for what he did. In the end it worked out pretty well for a few years.
  21. This whole emoji thing says a lot more, at least to me, then if Jackie actually spoke words. It is NOT a meh emoji. It's NOT a sad emoji. I think all these emoji things are kind of dumb. That said, Jackie was very deliberate in choosing which emoji he used ... unamuzed. Again, to me, that speaks volumns. I was firmly in the keep little Johnny and patch things up. Now I want him out of here on the first train. At this point I just don't care what the Sabres get back. I would sweeten the deal just to have some team take this jackass off our hands ........ not really, but I don't care much for what is coming back. Just get the best deal you can KA and be done with it. I know it's dumb to react this way to a stupid emoji, but it's the last straw.
  22. I really do not think that the Coyotes are leaving Arizona. They will move back to Phoenix, which is were they should have stayed in the first place.
