Man, I forget that Petsie got a cup in '96. -

This sounds good and all, but I like my answer better. đŸ˜‰ -
Eichel is changing Agents will be represented by Pat Brisson
Sabres Fan in NS replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I think it is reasonable that the former agent, who negotiated the contract, should still be paid. I would also think there has to be some agreement in place should the client change agents mid contract. A percentage split of 60/40 might be reasonable, even 50/50. And agent's work is not done when the contract is signed, but it's a big part of what they do. Of course, I'm just farting in the breeze here and I could be way off. -
We have found ourselves in so many ‘situations’ I have lost track. None of them have killed us, so it’s all good. You only live once. If you do it right, once is enough. In case you did not know Montenegro translates to Black Mountains. Pretty basic Serbian there.

I loved Albania. We did not see much, but we were smuggled in by a taxi driver in Montenegro.

This thread just gets worse and worse all the time. It's basically the same few posters in a giant pissing contest. No real content that has any merrit has been posted in days. Worst thread ever and that says a lot. During the tank years they were all pretty much terrible.
-
Now that is very funny. Well done.

The Bills will be playing in the AFC Championship again and it will be against the Chiefs. This time it will be played in Buffalo and the Bills will win. Unless something really upsets tha apple cart. The Browns will not be doing much this year. And this thread is made for Bills fans, so if you are not a fan then you probably shouldn't stop by. Not being a dick here. You must understand that, eh? You said it so much more clearly and directly than me. Well done, indeed.

So much for the peace and quite in this thread.

I feel your pain. I feel eveybodies pain that is not in my situation. You will all be welcome, so long as you are fully vaccinated.

Forwards This Season 2021-22 & Beyond

Samuelsson is likely closer than Johnson. I don't think I'd trade either of them right now. So that leaves not a great selection of LHD, but it would depend on who is coming back. I may be willing to trade Johnson for Byfield, or Turcotte. Maybe. I think @thewookie1 is right all bets are off until the Eichel situation is sorted out one way, or the other. -
Jack Eichel: Trade rumors and speculation
Sabres Fan in NS replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
It's all been speculation. -
Okay. I do think that just about everything in life comes down to politics. Anyway, it's been really very quite in here for the past few hours. Maybe some are with @Wyldnwoody44 and soking their heads in a cool pool to combat the heat. We are having just oppressive heat and humidity here. The whole province is under heat warnings. We do not get this right here at the coast. People would escape the heat by comming out here. We moved here in part for the cooling ocean breezes. It's not happening now and I imagine we will be having some hurricanes soon too.

I have done my best to stay out of this thread, so I am not sure what it was like weeks and months ago, but the last few days have been terrible and it's obvious that that is where the issues lie. I am a bit surprised that this thread has not been locked for a cool down period. Even more surprised that it has been very active on the main page for so long. I know that recently several pages where moved to the Politics Club thread, but that is something that the mods should not need to do. Some time ago the whole COVID thing became not so much about the disease, but all the politics.
-
I'm not sure why you are saying this. @nfreeman is clearly pointing out that this is what he is seeing and he is advocating for a more calm approach.
-
@SwampD, we're good. I never though you or anyone else, as far as I recall, attacked me personally for not being vaccinated, although thinking back (I am not prepared to revisit those pages of this thread) some did sort of blame me for being part of the problem. Anyway, we are good. This thread is a good reflection of society in general where there are two polar opposite opinions and very little middle ground. There is no way anyone will convince the other side. It's really quite sad. I suppose, I am in that middle ground area, where I am not really anti-vaxx and am fortunate to be in a position to wait it out a bit longer.
-
I do know all that and appreciate that the vast majority of people out there have had a much worse go of it and it breaks my heart. I don't think it had to be this bad.
-
Sure, so all tolled it won't even be a million. That's a lot of $ for most people, but not a record company, not the Cobain estate, not David Grohl (SP) and just about anyone else named in that thing. Also, all these folks are being sued 'cus the little guy's parents were idiots and didn't get a proper contract for the use of the photo in the first place. No $ to be had by suing your parents and being an idiot is not grounds for a lawsuit, I suppose. I also find it kind of wierd to claim sexual exploitation, but then say that you have re-created the photo many times.

There has been some back and forth as to the best vaccine scheduling and how long to wait between doses. It's still going on and the bottom line is no one really knows for sure what is best.

I understand what you are saying and you are basically right. COVID has not affected me directly much at all. I am very fortunate to live in a place where isolation is easy and quite pleasant. I can walk down a 100 yard path to our wharf on a nice very sheltered bay on the Atlantic. I can see the wide open ocean from there easily. I am basically a 'home body' to begin with, so I do not go to the movies, to restaurants ... very rarely. I have altered my shopping habits to go into town for provisions as rarely as possible. On the other hand my wife's aunt and uncle both died from COVID. We were not very close, but still. I have known many friends to have gotten it (here and in Europe) and it was very touch and go for them and they are experiencing some long-term after effects. I also know first hand some that have been vaccinated and have experienced very bad side effects.

What Do the Sabres Look Like in 2 years?
Sabres Fan in NS replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
The Sabres have had such little luck in the draft that the fan base is conditioned to expect nothing, or almost nothing from most draft picks. On top of that the very good draft picks (Samson and Eich) are cast into the pit and come out stone cold and bitter. So much so that they end up jadded by 25 and traded away for a do over. -
There is no going back to the old 'normal', IMO. We will be living with COVID and learning to deal with it. Vaccine will become part of that for many / most. I have a feeling based on what out Prime Minister is quielty doing (pre-ordering booster vaccine) and what the Delta is telling us that there will likely be a yearly booster, much like the flu shot, that will be encouraged, or suggested at least. Not talking politics, but we are in election mode here in Canada and the results could really influence what direction we go as a country. While I agree that there were very many impacted terribly by the shut downs, but others are becoming very wealthy, or mist likely increasing their wealth, during this pandemic. The biggest corporations in Canada are doing very well. Many small buisnesses have had to close, some of my clients. So, it's all over the map.
-
Sure. You are more at risk not vaccinated. Many people I know just want the vaccine so they can go on a cruise, or south for the winter and to get back to 'normal'. I don't see that happening regardless of vaccination rates.
-
I am not going to get dragged into a non-vax debate. I am not vaccinated for reasons that I have clearly outlined ... YET. I am NOT anti-vax. I am fortunate to be in a position to be able to wait and see what happens. All I will say is that the vaccines have not been out long enough for anyone to really say how well they will work long-term. When the leading country in vaccination rates (Israel) and the first to say that the country is fully vaccinated yet they are now calling for booster shots then something tells me the vaccines will not be the complete answer to this.

Got it. There isn't.
