That's not very terrible. Not great. Not even good, but all in all and considering what we have to work with ... not very terrible. The D is actually not terrible, as in a step above not very terrible. Well, the top 4 anyway. Bryson might be okay too. Those are mostly NHL players.

Any one that does not make a living at whatever sport they are playing where ever thay play it. Endorsements are fine. Living expenses are fine. No age limit, like WJC. I love(d) Dave Hannan, but I would not have allowed him to do what he did.

Which is basically what I said, even if the way I got there is not exactly right, or kind of right. At the end of the day he will be RFA at the end of this contract. I still think if all goes well he will be extended, same with the Joker man, at the end of the second year.

The first year does count, but it matters when it's signed. Casey was 20 when he signed his ELC. So, at the end of this contract he will have 6 years and will be 25 years old. So, he does not make either criteria for UFA at the end of this contract, but I think that he will only have one year RFA remaining after this contact ends. He also gains arbitration rights after this coming season, which may or may not mean much. I am willing to bet that if all goes well Casey will be signed to an extension at the end of the second year of this contract. Joker is the same situation. Both contracts actually line up nicely that way. Seems that someone in the FO knows a lot more about this stuff than previous regimes. Of course, I could have that all wrong, which has been known to happen.

Hey @Mustache of God I just noticed that there is a training camp thread that had been established some days ago. It has a lot of real good info in it, such as when it is a junk like that.

Vladdy will be in consideration and is deserving. My $ would be on a Cy Young for Ray. He has been lights out all year, but especially in August. On a good, but not great, team he has be fabulous.

This is a good deal for both. I think it will be a very good deal for the Sabres in years 2 and especially 3. He is still RFA at the end of this deal, which is good.
