To still make the playoffs TODAY

Sounds about right. Easy peasy. 93 would have had them in last season. Not sure how that shakes out this season yet, but it's within spitting distance to the great divide. -
It's a holiday in most of Canada too. Heritage Day here in NS. I am working for a bit for my regular clients, but I will not contact them. Just about everyone has the day off. I am working a 5 hour shift at my Intuit job this afternoon / evening. Since it's a stat holiday I will be paid for 15.5 hours - good deal. ***** MUST WIN !! GO SABRES !! AVENGE SOMEBODY !! SWORDS !!

North Atlantic is just a tad bit warmer than the Arctic. That said, last summer we had the warmest waters up here ever recorded. Still cool enough for the Great Whites. Whites and whales are pretty much all we have. Whites have been seen just outside the inner part of Halifax harbour.

I am not a fan of OT. The game should have ended in a tie. That said, I like when the Sabres win. -
Sabres’ Refusal to “Salute” Fans Confirmed

Fans chanting is part of the game atmosphere. Players have to take the good and bad. They never should take out frustration on the fans. If not for the fans these clowns would be unemployed, well at least not playing a game for big bucks. Play better and win more or at least try every single minute of every game and you would not have to take anything out on the fans, cus the chants would only be good. These guys are soft. -
That does not answer my question if he still has term on his contract.

Maybe 5 years ago. I would immediately for Drew Barrymore though. Still a hottie at almost 50.

@Marvin, Sorry to hear this news. I had been through it 3 or 4 times in my first 20 years after graduating college in 1986. Even after I got my CPA in 1995. Mostly when companies I worked for were sold. After that (till now) I spent 20 years working for myself. Still doing that with no realistic option for full retirement. There are advantages and disadvantages to working for yourself. It's rare that I hate my boss. Last tax season I took on a part-time gig with Intuit as a Tax Expert in their Full Service department - preparing and filing tax returns. Not glamourous, but I liked it and loved the variety and talking with many good people all across the country. The people I worked with (100% remote) are fantastic. I don't like huge corporations, but Intuit seems good. My Seasonal contract was extended until the end of August. I did like the steady paycheque every 2 weeks. It was nice to have it to help the seasonal ups and downs that come with any CPA working for themselves at a small practice. This fall I submitted my name for consideration and my Manager recommended me for a year-round part-time (I could work as many as 40 hours a week depending on my availablility and work load) senior position. I am thrilled that I was offered the position and eagarly accepted. My new role is in the Audit Defence department - we deal with CRA on behalf of Intuit clients who receive review letters from CRA. I like it a lot. I too am turning 60 this October so I understand your feelings. My hope is that you are not laid off. If you are hopefully there will be a nice severance package available to hold you over. My advice is to consider the route that I took. That said, I took that route at 40. Best wishes, my friend.

Who ?? Always sad to hear this kind of news. How long is he still under contract for ? Hopefully, he'll still have a nice payday while he looks for something else.

I'm a CPA. I play with numbers all day. Sometimes you have to *manipulate* them a tad to make your point more goodly. That's what she said.

Nice win. Great team effort. 6K is da man. I thought 6K would turn into a reliable 2 this seaon. @Hank was right all along. I salute you, sir. Devon who ?? Long-term I see these 2 as a dynamic due between the Sabre pipes. -
You don't say .. (insert winkie thingie here)

This is corrct. Cup winning experience is very important in players as well as coaches. The entire Sabres organization has very little playoff experience yet alone cups. I think Adams in it. He was dastardly back in 2006, but he turned out okay.
